18/9/2009 09:26 | if only. i might get some more here if we see 36. | hungry wolf
18/9/2009 09:19 | if only someone told us about it 2 days before... MNR doing well. reckon 35p could be resistance, possible drop to 30p? Wanted to buy at 26p but did not have funds, regretting it now. | wongman
18/9/2009 09:06 | have you guys seen dupd. stock keeps rising with only two sells in two days. take a look and see what you think. has gone in auction twice already | hungry wolf
18/9/2009 08:34 | i honestly think CAL has been transformed and will be in profit making. share price should rise upwards. | m1tu
18/9/2009 08:15 | Capital & Regional What is going on? | wongman
18/9/2009 08:04 | is parkdev selling up or something? | m1tu
18/9/2009 07:53 | Did it say when they are buying them? | leopold555
18/9/2009 07:45 | Don't really understand the RNS that Parkdev now have 69 million shares. They were supposed to be buying 89 million shares and also agreed to a lock-in clause that they would not sell them. What is going on? | kibes
17/9/2009 19:56 | Parkdev announced their new buying spree on 16th/9/09 So; who's coming in now? They missed the party but hey lets have another one. Okay, I got my last lot @ 36, may I please have some @ 30 Mr. CEO. Just have a little word with the dealers in the morning for me pritty please with lots of sugar on top. Thanks | hungry wolf
17/9/2009 17:57 | Hungry Wolf - their favourite clients got to buy shares in the open offer at 24p. Shares issued: 89 million to Parkdev at 26p 142 million to shareholders at 24p plus 47.6 million to their pals through the 'firm placing' at 24p. Its probably these last people who are selling now and walking away with a 50% profit (for doing f-all). Unlike Parkdev, they are not locked in. Price likely to be held down until they are out of the way I would think. | kibes
17/9/2009 16:06 | ......How Delightful | boobly
17/9/2009 13:27 | well. the sellers are being rewarded. they are selling the open offer stock 12+ points higher. be grateful it is a profit. | hungry wolf
17/9/2009 13:20 | Wongman Not wishing to prolong this debate but more caution is needed. The sets system allows buyers to take offers as well as bidding for stocks and visa versa. Simply reading off the bids and offers can therefore be highly misleading. Anyway lets draw a line under this and hope all holders are rewarded in the near future . | dk37
17/9/2009 13:01 | Single If reporting a single protected transaction. A protected transaction occurs when a large order is going through the market. The buyer (or seller) may wish to keep the order anonymous from the rest of the market as the size of the order could greatly alter the price of the stock. With a protected transaction the dealer will put the trade through in small quantities rather than knock the whole order out in one hit. The entire transaction is reported once the deal is completed. The LSE is notified at the start and at the end of the transaction, however, the market as a whole isn't told until the end, thus the order is protected. T | hungry wolf
17/9/2009 12:58 | Late Trade Late trades, as the name implies are trades that are reported to the Stock Exchange some time after the trade has been executed. There can be a number of reasons for this. Stocks have a market size, the size varying with each stock. If a trade is executed that is six times the Normal Market Size then the market makers, for stocks traded on the full list do not have to report the trade for 1 hour after the trade was executed. Once reported, this would show as a late trade. A trade would also show as being late if the bargain had to be amended for any reason like an alteration to the settlement date. Once the bargain has been amended the amended bargain would show up as a late trade. L | hungry wolf
17/9/2009 12:07 | Referring to what m1tu said on the previous page, he said that there's more Buy orders going through than sells. And on top of that, the small sells cause a more significant drop than when a large buy goes through, causing a relatively small rise. Like you said as well, "recent holding statements, whilst most represent increased holdings..." i.e. more buys than sells, yet we are seeing a decline in share price the answer? mms. | wongman
17/9/2009 11:40 | Wongman You seem to under the impression that the price action is down to mm's and a buyer. If you look at the recent holding statements, whilst most represent increased holdings, there were two that showed a reduction .... Morgan Stanley to below 5% on the 12th Sept and Martin Barber who went below 3% earlier in the month. Both could still be selling with MS having scope to sell 1% without further notification and MB who does not have to declare at all. I am a holder and bullish but please look at the evidence before speculating on matters than cannot be substantiated | dk37
17/9/2009 11:20 | yeah, thats what mm do sometime... so to hide the big buy order, otherwise PI wouldny sell. | m1tu
17/9/2009 11:13 | let me get this straight. A big buyer comes in every morning for a lot of volume at a relatively low price. Mms need to have the stock to fulfil that order and therefore lower share price to cause some selling and thus to fulfil that order, which is not shown until the end of the day. correct me if i'm wrong | wongman
17/9/2009 09:12 | seems like theres a large order to be filled, weak holders giving in, we'll find out at close of market. | m1tu |
