I see on IG that 96% of investors are long BUR. That surprised me as I think of IG as the leading place for retail shorting in the UK.

Maybe a number of guys in white coats and one of those vests that the arms tie up at the back.

Sorry, cannot resist one last poke. Wouldn't it be the funniest thing ever to read MW's ex-CIA expert analysis and character profile on Chimers' posts? They'd probably send a SWAT team in.

This is far more entertaining than the monotonous drivel of the last few days.
I can hear the cage rattling from here.

agree djderry. I don't read the rantings of the repetitive lunatic and others. He's nothing better to do. I have. Feel sorry for the guy. 95% of shorters admit they lose their money, the other 5% lie about it. Sounds like he's going crazy.

Oh, dear, I reckon there's another demented rant coming on. I love to wind them up, but enough baiting. I don't want to be the cause of a heart attack. Time to hit the filter button. Done!

Will stay on topic from now on.

Agreed DJderry, but it will return, just give it a few weeks.
I too, am waiting for the noise to quieten down and haven't sold a single share.
Keep the faith!

To be fair, if you see Chimers purely as a parody account, he is very funny. Writing like that is not easy.

I've pretty much withdrawn from this BB ,for obvious reasons.I grew tired of playing 'wack-a-mole'with the various shorters, spinners and those who, literally, would say or do anything ,to scare investors out of their holdings.Added to that, you have falsehoods and spin masquerading as 'reports' by the likes of MW,which are nothing more than the self serving 'catch cries of the clown',as WB Yeats put it.(Although in a different context). What was once a forum for reasonable debate has become a toxic, nasty mix of bile and bluster.Yes,there are some notable exceptions but it's increasingly unhelpful for those who seek reasoned and reasonable debate.I hope one day the BB can return to some form of normality, but until then,I'm out.I would like to post on result's day and when other company announcements are made. Finally, for the record,I have not sold a single share in Burford and added to the (now)several of tens of thousands of shares I have.

MF, you could be right. Would be interested to know if institutions typically don't buy much during August hols as often alleged by the media. I can't see BUR releasing much more on their cases unless they are freed from confidentiality agreements on all of them. Otherwise idiots will shout out they've only disclosed their best ones.

So much speculation in the media circus. They love having something to write about.

I'd eventually like to see some more detail on how quickly unrealised gains convert cash. Certainly looking at cash receipts last few years they are outstripping revenue, so assume past years' unrealised gains are converting to cash. But would like the low down on that.

Meantime, I won't be topping up the small holding I have. BUR are a hold for now. I agree with your most likely scenario that they'll be taken over by PE. Won't get a chance to do 2nd listing.

Chimers, Blimey! You've had a real bad day today. Wheelbarrows? All you could fill is a hot air balloon.

We love your posts. We clearly wind you up something rotten. You lose the argument when you name call.

Sorry, I've never needed a therapist so I can't recommend one to you. Stay away from sharp knives please. We don't want to see you get hurt. Feel free to keep venting your frustrations on here. We'll be your therapists. Such anger!
