I have asked this question over on the Kier board. Would it be possible that Neil Woodford is lending his stock at a percentage ? Of course short positions would have to be closed at some point and the Woodford Stocks recover..... he would then unlock the fund amazing people by his genius they would not withdraw funds...or is this too far fetched ?

Well, today's been very educational. I held up the mirror to some of the share price brigade and they didn't like it and I've also learned a lot of eye watering stuff about their Prophet/Messiah TW thanks to Brownie for the links. So no point in debating with these shady characters. Some are getting FIltERD today.

The whole financial world is definitely shady and that includes those that report on it.

Lower volume and price showing some signs of recovery. Early days still but hopefully a quieter board will follow.

Presumably TW went from being bankrupt to owning 2 houses by shorting all the companies he ripped into. Are Shareprophets going to take the credit for the BUR stuff (stuff being the best I can describe it)? After all, a few months ago a reader asked share price to look into BUR and all they came up with was a clean audit from one of their contacts from the Big Four. Now they have jumped on the coat tails of MW (as they did with Gotham re Qunidell) and they are actually charging people to read regurgitated stuff from the MW reports. WOW!

SK you make a fair point in relation to Woodford. Too many people bought into the hype. I agree with you there.

Just think you are being overly negative with Burford and not looking at the whole picture just one or two points and then blowing it out of proportion.

Did you read the FT this morning?

Front page stated the following "Investors are increasingly taking aim at FTSE 250 businesses, Deloitte found, highlighting concern that smaller companies are failing to embrace the same sort of corporate responsibility of larger peers".

I'm overall neutral in relation to the husband and wife issue. After all Jeff Bezo and Mackenzie Bezo were husband and wife. And in the early years of Amazon, Mackenzie Bezo served as Financial Director, before IPO. And now look at Amazon.

"How did TW go from being virtually bankrupt in 2012 to owning 2 houses now? It was not by creating multiple BB aliases and posting night and day on multiple BBs."

Yes it was. LOL

and all this time, we've had director buy 10s of millions of pounds of shares and Burford release an RNS stating they are exploring listing on the US stock market, whilst getting on with business.
