Two recent share price headlines on BUR. The first misleading, the second false...

1. 'IMF Bentham Slates Burford accounting method'. IMF purely made a statement about how they do things themselves and later clarified they had no comment about Burford.

2. 'Gotham City to release Dossier on Burford'. Gotham merely made a short statement to the media containing nothing of substance. TW ate humble pie and declared it a damp squib but still laughably insisted it was a 'dossier'. (he needs to look that up in dictionary)

So, regardless of what Burford have been saying, why should we believe anything Shareprophets say with even 50% conviction?

The ONLY question that really matters here is the Napo one, & BUR aren't answering it.

SweetK and Bbms have both been evasive, defensive and aggressive in the last few days. They’ve not been persuasive yet but 3 out of 4 makes them guilty, no??

dgdg1, when you ask these guys hard questions they just deflect. It's profiteering masking as journalism, at least MW admitted that point. When a writer can't make the effort to ask their target questions before reporting, they immediately lack credibility. Even the Daily Mirror and Daily Mail do it. Investors chronicle (whom I have low regard for) do it. These shorters don't even come up to those low standards, never mind whether some of what they say ends up being true.

This has parallels with Quindell Resources from a few years ago when accounting and governance was questioned by Gorham City. Traders made a killing whils investors lost out, along with Slater Gordon wh bought the professional services business in 2015.

SK, I have made several comments earlier which you didn't address. I am also wondering why you continue to assume that MW are right and Burford is wrong, even though you must agree that all this talk anout the Napo case is conjecture not known facts, as we don't know exactly what was agreed between Burford and Napo. I could understand if you seemed in genuine doubt or even if you had concerns, but you seem to be basically taking it as fact that MW is right - which to a critical thinker like yourself doesn't seem rational

"I can highly recommend Shareprophets because of its balanced arguments folks, no axe to grind, it always presents both sides of the case, both Long and short, highly recommended and revered by City Professionals"

sk, you are hilarious. Its you ducking the question. It took me while, but I now I see.

BUR's reputation lately has been in some doubt but there is certainly no doubt whatsoever about the reputation of the Shareprophets brigade. Dodgy journalism by dodgy people. No attempts to verify the facts. Innacurate headlines later proven false (and that's two I've bothered to read). Posting on BB's under fake names. Claiming they don't short their targets (although their friends and close relative probably do).

You couldn't make this up. You all live in a house made of very thin glass.

"In MW's original research report, why did they not mention Napo v Glenmark?"

Maybe MW should employ adnan as a researcher. Or maybe MW are too busy looking at the generic and paying ex CIA for behavioural analysis, rather than spotting the obvious deception a child could spot. Or maybe MW were keeping this as their coup de grace?

Why don't you ask MW? - you might be offered a job.

It is amusing when the only defence is to highlight failures of the attack.

Why would you choose to spend the coldest six months in England? If I was in your shoes I would be spending the winter down south and the summer in England.

BUR ducks the question (is it pleading the 5th?). So to distract from the issue bulls attack TW. Sure way to let us know they are rattled and have no answers of their own.

And if BUR does end up down the pan will those bulls blame BUR management and themselves for what has happened to their investment or will they blame those who warned them?

I already know the answer to that: 90% will blame those who warned and will go on to repeat the mistake over and over again. It is the sort of behaviour you expect from a religious cult.
