sweet K, keep using those words...
failure
tackle
hurt investor
confidence.

You were working hard last night until all hours.
Will make no difference.
The price will rise.

What are the 'real issues' though .. I don't see anything major in there... they have made mountains out of mole hills it appears.

Critics may go away, but concerns over the real issues won't until BUR do something genuine about them. BUR's failure to tackle the real issues will hurt investor confidence far more than a new dozen short reports.

sk

I agree ignoring it is what they should do. I don't think the CFO will depart immediately or that there'll be any immediate changes to accounting/disclosure. Probably the mooted new non-exec to replace one of the old guard will be the first change.

One thing for sure, all this backwards and forwards in public between Muddy and the board isn't helping the price.

The board have answered their critics, now ignore and they will go away...

Normality returning. Nothing new from mw. This should recover now.

Henchard,

BUR absolutely should ignore it and announce the governance and accounting changes that are needed to restore confidence instead. However I am 99% certain BUR will play ping pong and make some more threats of legal action.

I wonder if BUR might simply ignore MW's latest.

SweetK, what plans have you got for today? Nice walk in the countryside? Playing with the kids? A few drinks with friends? Or another 16 hours on the bulletin board of a company you have no financial interest in? Jeeeezzzz...

In April 2015 Burford RNS'd an announcement that 10 of their employees had bought shares. Will we get a similar announcement this week?

The analysis of BUR Vs IMF accounts in the investors champion report is particularly good. The whole report is well balanced and justified. It is no wonder panicking, desperate longs want to drown in out with spurious personal attacks.

Sign up it is free. I have not bothered before, but if their analysis is as good on other shares then it would seem to be an excellent resource for anyone doing their own research.

the directors certainly aren't staying on the sidelines ...

"As outlined in previous announcements, Mr Molot purchased 690,606 shares last week following the release of Burford's response to the Muddy Waters report. Following those share purchases, Mr Molot yesterday purchased an additional 250,000 ordinary shares of nil par value in Burford ("Ordinary Shares") on the market at a price of 765 pence per share.

As a result of these transactions, Mr Molot controls a total of 9,500,000 Ordinary shares, amounting to 4.34% of the issued share capital."
