Playing ping pong with the claims will not put this to bed. BUR must address the serious and very real underlying governance and accounting issues.

Replace CFO with somebody completely independent and credible and put them on BoD - top priority.

Get independent accountants to restate in cash terms and then explain why it is different.

Disclose non BoD remuneration.

Replace most of BoD and put CEO on BoD.

Replace E&Y.

Obviously that cannot be done overnight but a clear commitment to do all that and taking the first step of Liz resigning with dignity would be a really good start.

Will BUR do it? My guess is no it won't. It will continue to play ping pong and make more spurious legal threats. It will be a sign of utter desperation if, as Quindell did, they file in UK for libel. That would be a complete waste of shareholders' money and such a massive red flag, I can't believe BUR would be quite that stupid.
