On Chimer’s basis the director’s were not allowed to tell the company secretary, which is International Administration Group (Guernsey) Limited, to raise the RNS.

In fact they should have done it themselves, and perhaps not told one another.

Funny how all these LONGS are so upset and always telling other people to "CALM DOWN"
This is known as "Projection" in psychological circles.
They try to transfer THEIR FEELINGS onto another because they feel the other person should feel the pain that they are actually experiencing.

A good chat with a qualified shrink would do a lot to help you guys.
Wont be able to help with your financial losses though.

City watchdog to examine Burford share price fall
The Financial Conduct Authority says it is making "wide-ranging" enquiries into the circumstances around the sharp fall in Burford Capital's share price following after US short-seller Muddy Waters published a critical report on the litigation finance company.

A spokeswoman for the City watchdog said it had been “aware of these matters since the first tweet and price movements on Tuesday of last week and at that point we began undertaking wide-ranging enquiries".

Probably because the price hasn't reacted the same way. Negative news travels faster than positive news.I am sure shorts would also have issues if it reached such levels on a report that had no valid and substantiated points to justify that valuation.The reality is fear is a stronger emotion than greed. So the price moved more.But your point is a valid one, if £26 is estimated with no substantiated evidence to suggest that, it is also wrong.The answer review short reports and broker upgrade notes and then conclude your own research and make a decision without emotion. Very hard admittedly.

Could someone please explain why there is not a similar level of outrage meeting a broker's note saying this is worth £26 (more than 3x the current price) as there was when MW said it's worth less than 1350-1400p pre MW release?
