Absolutely nothing about this share is high risk long term. It's as good as it gets on a long term hold once the dust has settled. £26 Broker note, even if it gets half way to that, still a very good investment from today's price. Certainly cant double your money within 6 months on bank interest. Everything has risk, but for me the BOD have substantially alleviated that concern for me. Thoroughly read the report from BUR and I trust the company. They out of choice became more transparent with their books, I am inclined to think rogue companies don't do that and offer tbe minimal they can legally get away with. I have traded it, but will now sit back and hold. DYOR and GLA.

7 Aug. 3.30pm. Burford issues RNS saying

“Christopher Bogart and Jonathan Molot, Burford's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, respectively, have informed the Board that once Burford's detailed response to the Muddy Waters' report allegations has been published, they each intend to purchase Burford shares for their personal accounts.”

8 Aug 12.45pm. Issues rebuttal and repeats intention for managers to buy share

“As previously announced, following release of this rebuttal, Christopher Bogart and Jonathan Molot, Burford's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, respectively, intend to purchase a significant number of Burford shares in the market. Two of Burford's non-executive directors have also sought clearance to make market purchases, as have numerous other Burford employees. In addition, the Board is also considering the Company buying back its own shares, given the potential investment return the shares represent at their current price. Appropriate disclosure will be issued upon the completion of any purchases.

Burford will host a conference call for analysts and investors to discuss these issues further at 3.00pm BST / 10.00am EDT on Thursday 8 August 2019. Participation details for this conference call will be announced shortly.”

“As outlined in previous announcements, Mr Bogart and Mr Molot can confirm that they have purchased shares following release of Burford's response to the Muddy Waters report. Mr Bogart purchased 123,747 ordinary shares of nil par value in Burford ("Ordinary Shares") and Mr Molot purchased 350,643 Ordinary Shares, in each case on the market at a price of 663.77 pence per share.”

It would make interesting reading to see an accurate, scientific analysis of the ratio of TW/ShareProphets mentions & sightings by the 'TW under the bed' gang to the share price of dodgy companies under the spotlight.

In my admittedly unscientific observations over the years I've noticed the higher the # of mentions & sightings of TW/SP & the higher the # of claims that so & so is a TW ID & that he posts his bearish attacks all day long under many, many different IDs by the bulls, the dodgier the company.

THE FACTS ARE THAT PRICE SENSITIVE INFO LIKE A DIRECTOR BUYING MUST BE RNS'd BEFORE THEY CAN DISCUSS IT WITH 1 SINGLE OTHER PERSON.

THAT'S THE RULES THATS THE LAW I HAVE OFFICIALLY REPORTED THEM TO AIM REGULATION THIS MORNING.

Trying to reason with them is pointless, filter them and when you have some spare time do a view posts and subject them to repeated consistent mockery, it is the only way to make them go away.
