04/1/2024 17:58 | I don't doubt the possibility of a merger, feel it is unlikely but still a possibility. I just don't think a MM would have the resources to affect a 100bn gbp company share price. Small caps maybe | abcurtis

04/1/2024 12:53 | A MMs job is simply to make a market ie match buy and sell orders and make a small turn on each transaction. They don't have the remit to speculate on potential takeovers unless it's obvious so I don't think they have the ability or even the power to keep prices down purposefully:) | meb123
04/1/2024 12:43 | Seriously? You think MM's are buying enough options to affect the market cap of a 100bn gbp company?I don't | abcurtis

02/1/2024 14:32 | I emailed BP regarding the incorrect spreadsheet containing share purchase's by week with duplicate entries. I can now see that BP have corrected the spreadsheet and removed the duplicate entries. I would expect to see a resumption of buybacks as they seem only to have bought back circa 50% of approved purchases up to results in early February. Should be 6M shares a day by my reckoning.
