Wow, I feel a song coming on... "If I were a rich man,
Daidle deedle daidle
Daidle daidle deedle daidle dum
All day long I'd biddy-biddy-bum"...

but do they not have to post three quartes of postive figures, just as the reverse is true for labelling a recession in the UK?

No one seems to have commented about the German and French economies posting unexpected gains, hinting that they now may be about to come out of recession. Got to be good for the sp, unfortunately, laggard UK will not be one to do the same with Crash Gordon at the helm!

Larry, what's this about Paul the Plumber Davidson? That's a name I recognise from somewhere but I'm not sure where.

Ke,
I'm far too busy at the moment as CRAIG's stand in.
It is a full time job posting "Just topped up my DOW short", "Just topped up my LLOY short" and "I'm rogering your wife" several thousand times a day !

I'm on the case !

Ed - The question is why didn't we all do it? I bought at 50p, but I sold them again at 55p and took 10% profit. The lowest priced batch I'm still holding is 11k bought at 170.82p.

You've got a job Wen. It's called writing an excel macro to backtest all the possibilities, and find out which action provides the best result from the PPoints, with the data I sent you. Don't go out looking for a job when you're busy enough already.

Ken - you never cease to get my approval.

Sounds like your son - whilst no doubt clever in his line of business - could benefit from a few investment pointers. If he'd invested £400k @ 60p he'd be laughing ISTR.

Ed - That's a bit of an exaggeration: nearing my retirement? I've already retired 3 times, so now I only work part-time helping my son. He's a good lad and appreciates my support, and he's quite happy if I only do 60 hours a week.

Wen - Larry has put me on to 3 books and I found the first of these in my local library but wading through 491 pages is very daunting, particularly when it's all a complete mystery to me.

Writing Excel Macros with VBA
Excel 2003 Formulas
Mastering Excel 2003 Programming With VBA

It aught to be quite easy because I've done a lot of Access programming, but doing even the simplest back test program in Excel is completely beyond me.

Hi tebore, depends on you time frame really - for me, not including day or short term swing trading, then long term this is a good share. Might see 4.5 this year, and £5-6 in 2010. Next year is a bit dodgy though, as many people think the 3Mil+ unemployed and any new legislation on tier 1 ratio/risk profiles etc, might depress the share price significantly.

Hi Guys,
Has the boat sailed on this share or is it still worth jumping in
even though I feel like I have missed the boat by a country mile.
Would appreciate your comments.
