12/8/2009 16:51 | Thanks Larry. I'm taking the books you sent me on holiday, hoping that I might get a clue on how to do it myself. | kenbachelor
12/8/2009 16:44 | I haven't started yet finished my contract then walked straight into a family bereavment so I've been busy trying to get everything sorted. didn't realise there was so much to do and so many "officials" to see. I'm in near daily meetings with social/banks/solicit its more time consuming than a full time job. having paid taxes willingly it seems like its difficult to get the benefit from them unless you are a full time benefits expert who knows all the ins & outs. soon as this lots sorted I'll get down to looking | larry laffer
12/8/2009 16:39 | Not much excitement on here today is there? I'm excited to get home and find half the last 2 days losses recovered. Larry - How's the backtest programming going? | kenbachelor
12/8/2009 16:28 | saltaire111 look up paul "the plumber" davidson if he's still involved then not even with the proverbial barge pole. | larry laffer
12/8/2009 14:45 | Looking good to reach 360, all we need now is a positive Walmart statement and we could be seeing some good gains again. Excellent, should have some steam left tomorrow, news not withstanding. | capricious
12/8/2009 14:03 | How's head and shoulders worknig for you MAXIMILLIAN. not seeing it myself. I agree there are downside risks across the sector and in fact the markets as a whole at the moment but I can see BARC making 3.80 before running into anything too heavy. RE Cyprotex, just watch the owners of these Biotech companies, look over the history of Meldex MDX. Darling of AIM in 2008 not so good now!! | simonbb
12/8/2009 14:00 | I've spent quite a bit of time digging through the company's financials and it looks like a good opportunity to me. Anyway, back to BARC and it's nice to see us back in positive blue! | saltaire111
12/8/2009 12:10 | No an acquaintance has and passed on the info to me, I've been recently stung by the Bio-sector so have been very reluctant to invest anymore money there for the time being. | capricious
12/8/2009 11:48 | Capricious - are you holding / investing? CRX up 8% today alone. | saltaire111
12/8/2009 11:42 | Hey yes this company has had a good right up (ignoring the death knell that this normally means), it had some problems in the past but is gaining industry recognition. Eventually most testing will be done on computer models rather than poor live creatures, since models and human cell cultures will give more accurate results. | capricious
12/8/2009 11:30 | Afternoon all - ADVN streaming appears to be back to normal thank goodness. Still long on BARC having bought at various levels over the last year at £5.50 and £0.85p. Still believe there's further to go before the end of the year. I've been looking at growth opportunities and in researching various sectors I discovered a firm called Cyprotex on AIM. I've never ramped a company before (honestly) on ADVFN because I know what a bore it usually is, but this one looks really very interesting. Epic is CRX. The company has developed technology for use in pharmaceuticals which reduces the need for animal testing. Now, let me get this straight - I'm in this for cash not for bunnies but they've just broken into profitability and have the likes of Glaxo, Astra, Shire etc. sniffing around. They see a competitive advantage in reducing percieved cruelty in marketing prodct to joe-public. Salty | saltaire111
12/8/2009 11:08 | I also remember Baltimore. It cost me £7K. | bogi yare
12/8/2009 10:20 | Have now sorted the chart..and this spike from the neck line is text book head and shoulder..will form the right shoulder next.....then down to 296...right issue .....massive drop 224.......another 50 for good measure.....174...I am now officially a BEAR Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr caveat ....as long as 368 holds...if it fails..shall turn into a BULL Snoooooort Baltimore tech ......£21......to 0 :( remember it well. | maximillian1

12/8/2009 09:17 | If your memory is that bad shaggy666 I'd go see a doctor! | keith95
12/8/2009 09:04 | £365 seems a distant memory now | shaggy666
12/8/2009 08:51 | all the banks rose together, maybe news that the FOMC statement will be positive has leaked jobless figures as expected also | traidemark
12/8/2009 08:51 | If you closed this morning - I'm sure the FED will be keen to give the market something to get excited about - which implies that we can at least re-test the 366 high in the very short term - which will leave plenty of room for the usual cr*ppy sept./oct. | keith95
12/8/2009 08:47 | Short was the call on Monday and looking good. | newm0delarmy
12/8/2009 08:45 | lloyds and rbs blue, no reason why barc shouldnt be soon | traidemark |
