The markets is taking no notice of book value,

arguably no longer a reliable metric given ZIRP.

So effectively that leaves capital returns

of which atm there are none.

Really dont understand why China are getting away with this and not being held accountable... its their nation that needs to be forced into bankruptcy and ruin in order to pay the rest of the world some sort of payout... I mean not one Chinese official has apologised for this... it really does equate to mass murder..

Don't lock Britain down again, plead business chiefs, MPs and medics who warn the economic devastation could last 30 years and bankrupt the nation

Barc to me looks the pick of the UK listed banks, that may not be saying much!.

Problem is ZIRP and money printing leave banks between a rock and a hard place,

which is perhaps why Buffett has significantly reduced his sector exposure.

Barclays trades on what looks a highly attractive discount to book value,

highly attractive at first glance. We are though in a new environment for banks

and that makes valuation very difficult.

Barclays strenght of brand is in commercial banking, not the UK domestic retail bank.

Lloyds has a nice touchy feely brand, it's not helped their share price.

Name a poorer brand in world banking than Barclays?

Two rules:

-still has to be alive (so no Lehman etc.)
-you're not allowed to say Deutsche

Main corern is delinquencies on pandemic loans.

Best guess is that UK banks will be on the hook for more

than anticipated in this area as political pressure grows.
