11/11/2020 08:15 | Excellent update and very cheap, 10x earnings and circa 4.5% dividend not bad for a growth stock. I bought on the bell this morning at £4.63 for a long term hold, i previously held Chemring which imo is fully valued now, much prefer this old dog for 2021! | rimau1

07/11/2020 20:53 | The Germany, Spain and hopefully Saudi typhoon deals will keep us going for years to come. Anybody heard anything on Germany lifting their ban on Saudi arms deals as the current ban expires in Dec'20? | hardm

07/11/2020 20:15 | I don’t think that the PESCO agreement is that consequential for BAe., the Typhoon programme is almost at an end with the Tempest programme now the focus. Most of their business is UK, US and Australasia, rather than the EU. | bookbroker
07/11/2020 18:38 | Thanks Yogi. In terms of profits from this, wouldn't we expect to see 33%, representative of the BAE share? I suppose we'll find out on the 12th what has been budgeted. All good news though with more to come in 2021 when Germany confirm the remainder too 😀 | hardm
07/11/2020 18:03 | RW - Eurofighter GMBH and Panavia are both European consortiums in which BAE has shareholdings and are based in Europe as well as MBDA. Not sure on impacts though of aforementioned PESCO framework. Hardm - the contract for the 38 a/c will be between Netma and Eurofighter. The confusion re Airbus is because Airbus will assemble the aircraft in Germany and so get most value from the deal. | yogi
07/11/2020 17:43 | Why are news articles stating 38 typhoons ordered from Arbus rather than from the consortium which includes BAE? | hardm
07/11/2020 14:53 | Then maybe they should be considering a corporate tie-up, they have strong businesses within the US and Australia, now is the time to think about M and A. | bookbroker
07/11/2020 11:32 | bookbroker. The only "subsidiary" I can think of is MBDA (missiles and systems). A joint venture of the 3 European leaders in aerospace and defence: Airbus (37.5%), BAE Systems (37.5%) and Leonardo (25%). With Typhoon reaching the end of its order book the only authority BAE will retain will be DA & EA (Design Authority and Engineering Authority) but these only apply to those componants produced by the UK. | ribblewader
06/11/2020 17:34 | Does BAe not have subsidiaries through which they will avoid these restrictions, likewise their partnerships in defence programmes with leading corporations within Bloc nations should exempt them from any restrictions, after the Eurofighter is a joint programme between many Bloc nations. | bookbroker
06/11/2020 16:53 | This could be a problem, post Brexit..... COLOGNE, Germany – European Union officials in Brussels are setting up a labyrinth of rules for non-bloc countries and their companies to join defense-cooperation projects under the PESCO framework. ......Notable, the agreement sets out different rules for countries and defense companies, dubbed “entities&rdqu According to the German defense ministry, third-party states can strive to play a role “as of today.” Individual companies vying for contracts stemming from their governments' participation must wait until 2026, the agreement text states..... | ribblewader |
