Passenger confidence regards flying on planes with Covid-19 infected strangers is now lost --- and IMO will remain so till plane manufacturers address the issue.

======= Far-UVC now being installed in public places to kill Covid-19 ======

buywell has posted on here and Shell and Rolls Royce and IAG about the rapidly rising understanding of the use of Far-UVC in lights and in Air Conditioning systems to kill Covid-19 and other pathogens like MRSA --- which it does kills all nasties 99.9% of them , and will continue to do so forever as new ones appear.

In the USA a development where Far-UVC is being used in a New York coffee chain which is using it as a sanitizing technology.

The plan is to roll it out to all outlets after trials where ceiling mounted LED/Far-UVC LED combo lights will be retro fitted in place of conventional 6 inch ceiling lights ie easy quick changeover.

The chain also plans to fit UVC Air Conditioning units to kill Covid-19 and provide protection for clients and staff.

USA company Actuity Brands also is going to install Far-UVC disinfection technology
in a deal using Japanese made units manufactured by USHIO

Boeing in the USA has patents on the use of this UVC technology in planes

buywell is of the opinion that worldwide use of Far-UVC which is human safe for use

Will make Lockdowns in the future not necessary

Far-UVC will allow commerce to continue in a Covid-19 age we humans now find ourselves.

buywell believes its uptake will spread worldwide as units become cheaper as they made in the millions for use in all indoor spaces where more than two humans live or work or trade or eat or play or learn or travel or are sick or are confined.

See this post on BUY which was pointed at RR.

The U.S. Marine Corps’ New Amphibious Combat Vehicle is Here

The first eighteen of the Marine Corps’ new Amphibious Combat Vehicle arrived at Twentynine Palms, a Marine Corps’ base in San Bernardino, California, the Marine Corps Times reported. The Amphibious Combat Vehicle, known as the ACV, will replace the Corps’ older and iconic Amphibious Assault Vehicle, which has been in service for nearly 40 years.
The new ACV, manufactured by BAE Systems, differs in several ways from the Marine's AAV. Unlike the legacy ship-to-shore troop transporter, the ACV opts for 8 large-diameter wheels rather than a tracked design. Though the USMC originally pushed against a wheeled design in favor of tracks, improvements to BAE’s design meant that the same level of off-road capability could be met via an 8-wheel drive design.

The US Air Force has built and flown a mysterious full-scale prototype of its future fighter jet

The U.S. Air Force has secretly designed, built and flown at least one prototype of its enigmatic next-generation fighter jet, the service’s top acquisition official confirmed to Defense News on Sept. 14.

The development is certain to shock the defense community, which last saw the first flight of an experimental fighter during the battle for the Joint Strike Fighter contract 20 years ago. With the Air Force’s future fighter program still in its infancy, the rollout and successful first flight of a demonstrator was not expected for years.

Wad, I grew up as an RAF "brat" (my Dad was serving) stationed at Waddington 61 to 66. When an alert went off at 3am every serviceable Vulcan was airbourne in about 30 minutes, the experience of 30+ Vulcans taking off a couple of hundred meters from your bed is never to be forgotten! I worked on Victors at StAthan in mid 80's, they were as impressive as the "tin triangle" as were many British built aircraft of that time.....

RW One of those would look nice on the mantlepiece, I will just check with the wife.

I guess they can't all be restored or we would have a national junkyard. I do like a visit to Cosford from time to time. Impressive collections.
