seems like Northern Rock and well, BOE really, need to look at how they announce these things..............bascially the share price is down due to the 25% or so profit warning they gave............still going to make £500m profit so it seems all a bit daft the consumer response.............share response, well that's as expected..........25% profit warning, 25% off......................but the consumer thing seems well daft.......maybe the media spun it too much..........

Axon going very well still...........trading at a discount still to expectations so of course there's plenty of value still.............my guess is there's decent US buyer(s)............could we see 860 sometime??????????

US futures are rising..........UK lifting up off it's lows.................

northern rock ceo explaining they have not yet used the boe facility.....

looking at the long lines of customers outside branches they may be on the phone soon...

Axon strength again.....nice , over 200 point gain from august carnage....!

cor, 6.3%...............nice...............they may have to lif that up to attract custom................

underpinned by the BOE so may chuck a couple of quid into a deposit account there once the panic goes away.............no more than £2k mind you..........that's fully covered if all goes wrong...........

anyhow, the bigger picture is still Tuesday imo...........everything until then is just noise.............markets went up a load yesterday and just giving some back today.........

Northern rock trading between 480 and 510.............talk of possible takeover target now...........

and Lehman Brothers saying they think the BOE will not raise rates again this cycle.............

Axon Group, the SAP software consultancy, rose 22½p to 846½p as it hired Citigroup as its broker alongside Panmure Gordon.

well I'm so glad I stayed out of bank stocks.............NRK down 23% that'll affect any index...............still generally looking for a positive close though on the week for the FTSE.............

anyone else red the IG article on Axon??????

top call mr............looks like some others joined in with you.........rolled my September positions over last week.............stuck them all out for March.........the spread was only about 2 points extra on top of Dec so a no brainer.................

morning all..........early start early finish today.........nice.........

the US did very well yesterday............and look what's happened cos a bank borrowed some money off another bank............Countrywide has borrowsd something like $12bn and their shares rose in the States............lol..........why is there such a stigma with that over here???????

anyhow reading/hearing that the exchequor, banks and fsa are happy with this loan to NR..........

another oppo here for the mms as only 2k shares has dropped the bid 10p..........oh dear I think that (those) seller may wish they hadn't been so impatient............considering now the initial shock seems to be over and the FTSE recovering...........

SAP making gains again today..................

not far off..........846.5.................840-849 open for the mms tomorrow...........however I suspect they may markup tomorrow and if a true breakout there could be an early run................
