some news out in the last 30 mins.............Barclays says August was profitable..........Home Depo upwardly revises sales and Apple's shares are looking to open up over 135 after close 131 on Friday............

US futures are on the move up quite rapidly from 2pm............not sure what caused that.................

morning all..............mixed open then for the week............a splattering of blue and red on my monitor..............

I see talk of potentially 2 interest rate cuts this year from the Fed.............

Sept. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, chastened by the first drop in employment in four years, will be forced to cut interest rates at least twice this year, according to a survey of economists.

Could help those that enjoy Christmas shopping sprees to NY...........talk of 2.06-2.10 to the pound................

evening all........good weekend??????

quick check on the US and UK futures and it looks like they closed up late Friday...........so hopefully a calm start to the week...........

I see 5 broker upgrades so far.............ave of £34.2m pretax for this year, which is some 10% better than the May trading statement upgrades.........I've I remember correctly when the upgrades went to £31m that was 2008's old target!!!!!!!!!! I think £34 or £35 was 2009's!!!!!!!!.....the average I see for next year is some £40.5m!!!!!!!!!!!

so for 2007 they say 83% EPS growth...............and around 20% already for next year.............that's some growth.............

nice..............

wonder who that buyer is that's been placing those 4k buy orders............has to be institutional imo............quite some volume already..............also arn't we looking at a positive reaction to a cup and handle formation?????????????

Business transformation specialist Axon was wanted after pre-tax profit in the first half of 2007 nearly doubled, on revenue that grew 56%. The company has a strong order book and a good pipeline and is confident of a good performance in the second half.

and they were..............very active buyer around imo.........and why not when £10 is the target and the share price is at a 20% discount...........!!!!!!!!!!!!

just need the US get to their senses and realise that todays jobs number was a blessing in disguise re rate cut............

well believe it or not there's plenty of stocks that rose today.....over 400..........SAP and Axon being 2............afterhours looks usefull too...........it could be that all the mms on 810 get taken out..........!!!!!!!!!!

looking back the last 5 years ady from now until the end of the year have been really good and this weeks news and outlook would pretty much mean more of same....................obviously not counting chickens and all............

all the mms 810+ now and pressure building,................

31.2k v 23k total buys to sells on the book.............a mixture of 2k and 4k buy orders being placed................

reckon we will be breaking the 900p mark fairly quickly over the coming weeks, any further "market shakes" may delay it slightly but nothing to much to worry about, could be a share split at some stage in the future too
