wow.........0.5% cut next week is getting stronger bets........last week they were happy for just the hint of 0.25%............

"Futures contracts show a 72 percent chance the central bank will reduce its target rate for overnight bank lending by half a percentage point to 4.75 percent this month, rising from 54 percent a week ago. "

some chap on doomberg saying that if the fed cuts buy 0.5% then there could be a 200-300 point rally as it would be seen as catching up with the curve............hope they're not getting ahead of themselves over there........

generally a quiet day..........not a lot of news expected stateside today..........

before the US opens the book isn't looking too bad..............there's only some schrapnel selling at the 823.5's(2.5k's worth in total), then a jump upto 830 for 400 then another jump to 834.5..............

so a quiet start and the mms taking advantage of the lul..............my bets are the US will provide yet again decent volume................

U.K. Unemployment Dropped to a Two-Year Low in August (Update1)

By Brian Swint

Sept. 12 (Bloomberg) -- U.K. unemployment declined to the lowest in more than two years in August as faster economic growth encouraged companies to hire workers.

Claims for unemployment benefits dropped 4,200 from July to the least since April 2005, the Office for National Statistics said today in London. Economists forecast a decline of 8,000, the median of 29 estimates in a Bloomberg News survey shows. The jobless rate fell to a two-year low of 2.6 percent.

The Bank of England said last week that the economy shows ``limited slack'' and has sustained ``solid'' growth, which quickened in the second quarter. Policy makers kept the benchmark interest rate unchanged at a six-year high as they tried to gauge the risks to economic expansion from a surge in credit costs while keeping inflation under control.

``This shows broad-based strength in the economy,'' said Alan Castle, chief U.K. economist at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. in London. ``It's too early for the labor market to have been affected by market turmoil. The message to policy makers is that prior to these events, the economy was doing well.''

morning all............well the US kept it's sanity sm.........and added somemore...........mixed markets overnight and a little selloff, well profit taking more like, early doors throughout euro, but adding to yesterday's gains now...........

it's very promising Screamer...........yesterdays afterhours could have easily been it..........not sure what happened there, it went against the grain a bit...........I can see why now though, looking to build interest for a push..........

maybe the UK can take the lead before the US opens up and take advantage............

I see now Axon moved up the FTSE list again yesterday, up to 324th now..........safely in the 250............shouldn't have any problems in today's review imo..........

nice................
