Ian, Thiam used to be FD at Aviva so could see it. Might not be able to afford him plus he has a very high impression of himself so might see it as a step down.

The markets might not be able to ignore this virus to much longer as the death toll rises and the economic impacts truly hit home. You could well see a massive sell off coming if as I believe the figures from China are vastly underestimated as a number of sources are inferring best stay out of markets for a while.

Admiral had good outlook today on motor insurance. Better then expected results increased dividends and 500 bonus to each staff.
Had hoped Aviva would have been in positive territory

He leaves everywhere under a cloud. Could definitely do a job here for 3-5 years though. Institutional investors at CS were big supporters

Good to see that AV. are thinking about new products to help the business and customers:

Aviva has launched Simple Life Insurance - ‘no frills’ cover to complement its more comprehensive Life Insurance+ policy – helping advisers ensure that more customers are financially protected whatever their budget.

Also found a few other Aviva related articles:

Page 15 of this document is penned by an Aviva representative. Discusses pensions:

Two pieces involving Colm Holmes, CEO of General Insurance, too:

The BOD are responsible for continually opting for the unambitious and blinkered forelock tuggers.

It's a tough one, AV. that's for sure. They lack a plan and the CEO is paralysed and just drifting. Rabbit in the headlights. It's time for a major shareholder revolt to get rid of him, and get a proactive sharp shooter at the helm.

Finished in positive territory though to be fair.By contrast MnG and L&G both made losses today. Sit tight. Surely, sooner or later, this should enter into strong Bull phase imv.

Finally a day with a positive finish. I’m thinking of selling if share price nears my buy in , not because I have negative view of Aviva but because I think there will not likely be a pleasant exit from EU at the end of this year.

If the dividend is safe, which it should be, it's very tempting at these low levels.

I like the sound of that deal with the Co Op over its DB pension liabilities. With negative rates and a long term view it must be good to pick these up. Life expectancy has peaked and is turning back a little
