29/8/2012 15:03 | Dolores, From interim report 6/2/12 the suggested time scale being 2013. "Subject to suitable market conditions we intend to seek a premium listing on the Official List of the London Stock Exchange in 2013." | ![]() yorgi
29/8/2012 14:52 | Has any time been mentioned for when a full listing is to be obtained? | ![]() dolores123

29/8/2012 12:31 | Like a lot of shares they rise on anticipation of an event ... then decline after it Still not convinced re AVN .... could drift till nearer the next rocket Holding BOR could wipe out 50% of capital on a bad day ... VERY risky | ![]() buywell2
29/8/2012 12:17 | nightspot - Thank you for that. Just the sort of conversation I was hoping to engage in when I started posting my charts. But I need time to give my thoughts and I'm out for the best part of the afternoon so I'm not ducking the query. And as you will see from the timing of my BPC post above I've only picked up on your post this last few minutes or so. Just one quick comment rising and falling MACD's don't necessarily correlate exactly with rising and falling prices. | johncsimpson
29/8/2012 12:07 | This is BPC which I've referred to before as being similar to AVN in it's triangular formation (see post 277). It fell below the support last Thursday and I've made two sales on the strength of the chart just in case. It's actually picked up a bit today and the other day indicators I use have been neutral / positive since about the 17th August. Any further fall and I'll sell again. | johncsimpson
29/8/2012 12:05 | For the time being Demac was have to take that no news is good news......I do expect we will here something earlier than 3 months when proving has been completed but for the time being patience required. | ![]() yorgi
29/8/2012 12:02 | John, I ask my question not to decry your charts but as an honest question. I would like to improve my trading skills so looking to learn. Restassured, please do not join this conversation. I am already aware of your views. 1)If the share price drops, the MACD obviously gets worse, and the converse is also true. Therefore I don't see how you can use that as a negative indicator now as that seems like putting the cart before the donkey? 2) When we were above the upper resistance line, avn was supposedly in blue sky territory. But we came down. Now you suggest that if we drop through the lower support line avn goes into free-fall territory. But......we may go up? Personally I put the drift down to simply lack of newsflow. The market is like a child, needing reassurance all the time. Patience is required. In early October I expect news on several fronts with the release of the financial results: a) announcement of service launch date b) updated backlog and probably substantial NATO contract win. c) announcement of provisional premium listing date d) announcement of positive operating cash flow in current trading I am quite happy to see out any short term volatility while the company gets on with the business of making money. | ![]() nightspot
29/8/2012 11:52 | Demac, We discussed this a couple of weeks ago and I don't think it was 3 weeks to test Hylas 1. It was more like 3 Months, hence why folk on here got somewhat impatient . . . including myself. As I recall on the night of the launch on 2nd Aug, it was said that we'd take something like 3 Months this time too, before we should expect an announcement that all the proving tests have been completed. We have had various positive updates in that the Solar Panels have been sucessfully deployed on 13th Aug. John | ![]() 2350220
29/8/2012 11:38 | Pretty much like a lot of stocks this morning Rathlindri from what I can see. | ![]() yorgi
29/8/2012 11:38 | Anyone know when Avanti are due/expected to update the market on the satellite's operational testing results. As far as I recall the testing of the first satellite took about 3 weeks. News/an update expected shortly? | ![]() demac
29/8/2012 11:20 | Screenshot about 20 minutes ago. OK - all but gone back to that original support line and MACD getting worse. So do I add at 360ish if it falls this low or hold for a rebound (if it comes) and wait for it to go back through the upper resistance line? Bearing in mind if it does actually fall through the support line as opposed to bouncing off it, then AVN goes into free-fall territory and it's a sell. | johncsimpson

29/8/2012 10:47 | Re BOR My two purchase limit orders at 24 and 23.5 have been filled this last 10 minutes. Charts were right after all. | johncsimpson

24/8/2012 15:59 | This next fifteen to twenty minutes is crucial to BOR and how the price will end up today. There's still a danger of that 28.75 area coming into play if people decide to sell off before the weekend. But in truth, as the price is more or less where it closed last night there won't be any day traders selling to lock in profits coz there aren't any now. Nevertheless . . . | johncsimpson
24/8/2012 11:06 | From my post 276 I'll have to watch carefully and should there be a retreat below 29ish then 24ish beckons but I'll be out before that happens and rebuy when that 24 'target' is met. -------------------- I clearly jumped the gun here and let emotion get in the way of the charts. I sold at bang on the right time but the buy back was fuelled by panic (and greed) at missing a 10% gain as the shares fell back. So now I've had time to reflect and that 29ish (probably 28.75 now) selling point is back on the agenda. | johncsimpson
24/8/2012 11:03 | Your welcome John I hope you enjoy....... :-) | ![]() yorgi |
