02/4/2024 18:44 | and hopefully an increasing divi along the way. Saw something on twitter about Nvidia recommending copper wire is used for shorter runs over fibre. No idea why but can't hurt copper demand, even as the EV revolution is somewhat slower than expected | waterloo01
02/4/2024 18:37 | Look at that UT...448k... And we haven't even started buying for the FTSE350 entry yet... Six quid by December 31st... | rougepierre
02/4/2024 11:29 | well ATYM intra-day through £4....looks like market buying into the story IMO....and the copper price surge/stockpiling by China....DYOR | qs99
27/3/2024 12:38 | “China is stockpiling copper – and markets are concerned” “China holds most of the cards for the copper needed for the green transition,” says Kieran Tompkins, a commodities economist at Capital Economics. “However, the country’s tightened grip on copper poses a potential threat to the West’s energy transition.” "If nothing else, it will mean higher prices." “The combination of record low copper stocks [globally], our expectation of peak mine supply next year, rapid green demand growth, and low price elasticity of both demand and supply will in our view lead to copper scarcity pricing in 2025,” analysts at Goldman Sachs said in a recent note. " "Historical precedent suggests prices could surge by 25pc over the next 12 months, its economist said." Hopefully, the fact that the EU is nett negative copper, which they categorise as a Strategic Raw Material, will focus their minds on granting Tuoro it’s Strategic Project Status. Which, in turn, will grease the wheels of the licensing process. | theapiarist
25/3/2024 20:50 | Thanks for your response, Waterloo. You are quite correct in stating that, as things stand, Spanish Withholding Tax is not recoverable in an ISA. I mistakenly believed you to be saying that this was a consequence of moving from AIM to Main Market. Whereas, of course, it has arisen as a consequence of moving the company domicile from Cyprus to Spain. Apologies for the misunderstanding. I would say that I returned to this stock 5 weeks ago after a lapse of a couple of years. Am very happy to have done so. Not only for the 20% uplift in the sp, but for all the reasons aired on this board. It's quite possible that the share price may take a breather at this point but with every prospect of further decent rises in the pipeline. | theapiarist
25/3/2024 16:52 | The Apiarist, I seem to recall debate here when they announced the redomicile to Spain that along with the main listing (not happened yet) Spain would have a withholding tax. That would not be recoverable inside a SIPP or ISA. It's in one of the RNS's or it was in the webcaste they did in answer to a question. waterloo01 - 21 Nov 2023 - 13:01:34 - 17261 of 17348 Atalaya BB without the idiots - ATYM Just listened to Q&A and Mr O is correct re 19% withholding tax (an issue if you have ISA/SIPP which is where I hold) waterloo01 - 20 Nov 2023 - 16:06:10 - 17255 of 17348 Atalaya BB without the idiots - ATYM Main listing. Not sure there would be any withholding tax, but no expert on the subject | waterloo01
25/3/2024 15:35 | Looks like we could see the back of £4 shortly, main listing / Touro / rising EBITDA / CU increases all look like reasons this is rising consistently.....DYO | qs99
24/3/2024 21:19 | Waterloo Why should reclaiming Spanish Withholding Tax be any different after the move to Main Market? And why should Sipps and ISAs be treated any differently than at present? I may be wrong but it seems to me that the only negative (for the heirs of those such as myself aged 79) is the loss of BPR. Heavily outweighed by the several positives. | theapiarist
24/3/2024 09:05 | and the withholding Spanish tax likely unrecoverable if in sipp or isa. | waterloo01
24/3/2024 08:51 | Yes, the loss of potential AIM/BPR/IHT relief is a personal dampener; I am comfortable ATYM are out-growing such considerations and are moving-on to the Big Boys league! Bring it on.....for one, I will be holding, possibly adding | tightfist
22/3/2024 18:26 | The only adverse feature it seems in the move from the FTSE AIM 100 to a main market is the loss of the immunity to IHT for those in which this is a factor. I suspect such folk are still likely to continue to hold. | mayers
22/3/2024 17:30 | Not all time high. 2 years ago it was over 400 for a few months, reached 440+ already some point.Anyway it's time for take some profit. | hericsaba
22/3/2024 16:43 | ATYM's share price has closed this afternoon at an all time high. 2024 will be a good year for the Company (Main Listing, Elix, Solar Panels, Touro and hopefully the the continued improvement in the copper price). | scargs
22/3/2024 15:10 | Quite a rally this week to 1 year highs! Hopefully positive news flow in April to support the share price gain. | robmcelf2

22/3/2024 11:07 | Cu price will fluctuate, but $ weakness with impending cuts in 2024 IMO will support the price above $4 in the long run DYOR Think Touro is nearer than people think and main listing will IMO also help EU law on "strategic" commodities in EU apparently is due to be passed soon? ANyone got a date? That may help with commissioning Touro DYOR | qs99
22/3/2024 10:00 | Price is still up despite weakness in the Cu price | estienne
20/3/2024 09:18 | Also the share price has responded fairly well to the results so - steady as she goes | estienne
20/3/2024 08:45 | Good to read the above, I was thinking with share price appreciation, that Touro will be a great piece of news to have alongside main market listing....a real boost so let's see if they can achieve that....DYOR | qs99
19/3/2024 20:10 | Also noted that ATYM will not be progressing the wind turbine option for electricity generation as it is 'barely economic' in Alberto's words. Solar farm is expected to be connected up in May - hoping for no more delays! | robmcelf2
19/3/2024 20:08 | Listened to the playback of the results earlier today & the Q&A. Really like the fact that Alberto always answers all the questions that get raised. 2 key points I picked out were:Alberto expects main market listing for ATYM next month He expects Touro to be given project of strategic importance status next month (May latest) which will then accelerate project approval process. | robmcelf2
19/3/2024 08:53 | yes disappointing but should be up and running shortly, hopefully they have some redress to suppliers for delay cash cost did start with a 2, the capitalised tailings cost was substantial and pushed above 3 I agree re TOuro, each of their updates seems to be a cut and paste in the detail for years now. Anyone on meet the investor update should IMO ask them why they do this! Main market could only happen once these results were out, so I would like to see an RNS on that asap from management, they must have all their ducks in a row by now!!! I also hope the dividend is paid quickly many companies take 4-5 months from RNS results outlining divi to actual cash in the account. DYOR and hope some of these points are raised on Q&A | qs99
19/3/2024 08:01 | Disappointing to see further delays in Solar farm and cost profile still pretty high - would like to see AISC start with a 2 and not a 3. No timelines on move to main market. No meaningful progress at Touro from what I can read from the last couple of updates. I guess everything takes time so our best hope of a short term share price boost is continuing higher copper prices. I remain a LT holder and hope we see good progress towards broader goals in 2024. | robmcelf2
19/3/2024 07:30 | Indeed, but hopefully average realised copper price this year will be higher, boosting EBITDA....likewise better news on Touro and maybe even further cost reductions...let's see....DYOR | qs99
19/3/2024 07:26 | Decent results. Steady as she goes | waterloo01 |
