Probably be included in the release on 15th May but agree it warrants a separate RNS as secures the future for ATYM

Hi

I have been invested here for a few years with various additions over time, nearly all making decent profit

The last few months seem to have been volatile and moving up and down by 10% to 15% over a few weeks, I know it’s a volatile market but is there other reasons it’s so up and down?

I am looking for it to break 400 and then I will be looking to cash some shares in at a good profit

I will always have some skin here but after so many years invested here I would like to take profit and move on

The current situation looks very good, we just don’t seem to be making the gains and heights I feel we should be at

Maybe a takeover in the offing?

Appreciate any comments

Thanks

Maintenance shutdown & sequencing out of the way, and brought forward from planned in April ..

SO going into Q2 and beynd we're still looking at 53/55kt PA, so higher production will help, as will those lower energy costs.

Always was going to be a lower production/ higher costs still in Q1...

Should be a good Q2 & beyond with copper prices high too..

Nice out-take from Alberto's summary this morning: ".....Finally, we continue to believe in the long-term outlook for copper, which continues to improve as major economies accelerate their investments in the energy transition and secure critical raw materials supply. In recent months, many of our peers in the mining sector have been active in pursuing copper production growth, which emphasises the scarcity value associated with high quality copper assets in mining friendly jurisdictions like Spain."

Average price of Spanish electricity in April so far is 62euro per mwh.
Last April it was 191 Euro per mwh.
Every 100 euros lower is worth 37m per year to atalaya.

Anybody any idea when we may expect some news on Touro? This then could be a game changer.

Agree, especially in 2023, then onwards really start throwing out cash and AICS drop with the addition of Zinc & lead, lower energy costs, E-Lix to around $2

Not in our best interests to have any low offers at the present

Currently 4 large mining Co's in Andalucia ...Probably go down to 2

ALways wondered why Trafigura sold their share out of Matsa to Sandfire for a total US$1.865 billion for the 100% of company

They kept the 100% offtake agreement in place

Glenmore has bid for Teck Resources today, mainly copper producer. Not many companies and projects available. Atalaya is a sitting duck.

Electricity for March averaged 90 euros per mwh
This compares to 135 in February.
Moving in the right direction.

Power prices might have dropped, but European industrial players are still counting the costs of last year’s skyrocketing bills. Atalaya Mining (ATYM), which runs a copper mine in Spain, saw its profits for 2022 tumble even with a fairly strong copper price because of a €64mn (£56mn) rise in energy costs. Shareholders will feel this keenly, as the dividend is set at 30-50 per cent free cash flow....

Excellent

PEA demonstrated potential uplift in production and reduction in cash costs

Atalaya Mining Plc (AIM: ATYM) is pleased to announce its audited consolidated results for the year ended 31 December 2022 (“FY2022”; or the “Period”).

Atalaya Mining Plc (AIM: ATYM) is pleased to announce the filing of the technical report ("Technical Report") related to the new preliminary economic assessment ("PEA") for the Cerro Colorado, San Dionisio and San Antonio deposits at its Proyecto Riotinto ("Riotinto") operation in Spain, the results of which were announced on 23 February 2023 by the Company.
Riotinto is Atalaya's flagship asset and currently consists of the operating Cerro Colorado open pit mine, a modern 15 Mtpa processing plant and significant supporting infrastructure. The San Dionisio and San Antonio deposits are located adjacent to the Cerro Colorado pit and the objective of the PEA was to incorporate these deposits into a new integrated mine plan for Riotinto.

The PEA demonstrated strong potential economic results over a range of metals price assumptions, including an after-tax NPV(8%) of $1.07 billion at $3.50/lb Cu, $1.20/lb Zn and $0.95/lb Pb ("Base Case" metals prices) and an after-tax NPV(8%) of $1.57 billion at $4.03/lb Cu, $1.20/lb Zn and $0.95/lb Pb ("Sensitivity Case" metals prices).

The Technical Report is available under the Company's profile on SEDAR at www.sedar.com and on the Company's website at www.atalayamining.com.

I spotted in the Spanish press today that proyecto masa valverde (pmv) seems to have gained the environmental permit (link below). In the results announcement today it says the PMV permitting is ongoing...https://andevaloyminas.com/atalaya-cautelosa-quedan-muchos-anos-para-que-masa-valverde-genere-beneficios-en-la-zona/

Ruvic, have you read the RNS from 13th March, which details what Canadian shareholders need to do?

#ruvic, if you have bought AYM, that is what you have got on the Canadian TSE listing shares, if you want ATYM on the London you will need to buy those instead or just keep the AYM, they both pay the same dividend..

[edit], I was not aware of the TSX de-listing, but IB are pretty good with their corporate actions so check in your account management for actions needed to authorise..

13.03.2023 - Following the de-listing from the TSX, Canadian shareholders wishing to trade their shares on AIM will require that such shares are made eligible to be transferred and settled though CREST, the United Kingdom ("UK") based share transfer and settlement system..
