There's no real hate or conflict on this BB.Everyone is entitled to their view. One chooses to either listen or ignore. My view is positive for AML.

A bid is a different story though, I remember Stroll putting somethig in place to stop any hostile takovers.

I don't see who would pay a premium to take them over, Stroll himself renegotiated when he took over 18 months ago because the share price dropped so much, creating a better deal for himself.

Would you pay a premium for a company losing £250m+ every year, court case hanging over it and no growth? The turnaround is a year old now, so green shoots for me at all.

Interesting though Essential.
Equity holders sit behind the bondholders though, so it's worthless buying equity if that is the game.
If this goes bankrupt again, only bondholders will be able to scavenge the carcass.

Another reason I hate the fact the bond holders are undisclosed, never heard of that before.

Might you have a link to that article please, can't find it on google.
Cheers

Tony, wonder if that large director buy is a "bet" on AML succumbing to a bid?.

Not holding and did warn before the listing, posting what turned out
to be an incredible bearish call be a FT journalist.

AML - Beware a private equity wolf in sheep's clothing,
was from memory, the title of that article.

Also noticed from around my own area, Weybridge, far fewer Astons on the road,
in comparison to a few years back.

Better than who expected? Just you it seems.
Read the CFO's words below...

Financing costs hit £133m between August and October this year because of interest on the debt, much higher than the £79m Aston spent in the same period the previous year. As a result, the company’s pre-tax loss for the quarter was £97.9m compared with a loss of £80.5m in the same period last year, despite improving conditions at the underlying business. “The cost of it is higher than we would have wished,” finance chief Ken Gregor told the Financial Times.

Ermmm, Q3 results, and losing £133m in 3 months? Maybe that?
Q4 results should be fun with the debt interest deduction.

Nothing needs to happen for the share price to get to 20+ again. What happened for it to drop to 16? Nothing. Long term may be fundamentals but near term is all the vagaries of the MMS. And the current trend.

Directors bought last week, so I guess no news is imminent... and you think the share price will rise 25% without news.

Yes. 443 at 16.83. Directors can't buy when news is imminent. Do you fancy a new DBX for Xmas? Wait until February.

pwal, why February, what's going to happen between now and then to get the share price to gain 25%?
You still holding those shares you bought last week?

Stroll just gifted his private company (F1) the use of the Aston Martin brand to raise millions. All the advertising income is due to OUR BRAND. As our CEO he should be looking after shareholders, not shafting them.

The F1 team should be paying AML money, as opposed to AML spending £24m per year on F1 advertising, that's over 10% of our losses this year.

What does Stroll have to do for you to realise he is in this for himself and his son?

I can't wait to see how he raises someone else's money for the wind tunnel!

Stroll lost hundreds of millions and put Asprey & Garrad into administration.
His last business venture before AML.
