£125m is a drop in the ocean for AML. The open might be interesting, though.

Well, that's quite an impressive agreement and capital raise they've come up with. Having Mercedes on board providing their technologies is a massive coup for the company.

Strategic partnership with Merc though. Issue Merc shares up to 20% (they already own 5%) and get access to cutting-edge powertrain, software technologies and components, including next generation hybrid and electric drive systems! So AML are no longer going it alone, they don't need to develop anything as Merc will do it for them, for a bigger slice of AML. Mirror image of F1 partnership. I can't see 3p now Merc will be taking 1/5th of the business ;)

£125 million cash raise @50p. £83.3 million already taken by Stroll's consortium, Permian and Zelon. Remaining £41.7 million going to II's via accelerated book-build, the above 3 also taking part, I guess to sweep up any left after II's. I can see a dip tomorrow, but might be wrong, unsure if the share price needs to hit 50p as it's only II's and Stroll's mates who are buying. What was that folk were saying about manipulation? haha. Happy that Stroll and his mates are buying, but slightly peeved at another placing. Merc upping their stake to 20% though, ooooft! Now we know why the share price has stayed around 50p for so long.

Q3 Results out! Didn't know they were due today. And a capital raise. A possible consolidation of shares. Lots of news. But what will it do to the share price in the morning?

Swiss: isn't manipulating the share price against the law? A minor problem for 'Them' I suppose.

Suppressed at 50p to let the fund out and others in. Now the fund have no shares left, there is little downward pressure. I am no conspiracy theorist, but pretty sure companies can hold the share price at a level and the MMs accommodate. Stroll's consortium, Toto, Vettel etc are all long term holders, at least 2/3 years I would think. Combine all their shares and you have stable majority holders.

Everything feels completely different now the Italian fund have finally sold all their shares. For any newbs reading, the fund was winding up completely, so sold their whole portfolio, not just AML. Now the share price can rise without massive sells to punch it back down. Strong close today is always a great sign for me, and up 4% when everything else is red. 12th November for Q3 results, not far off now, only 12 trading days left. Robin has gone all quiet, hope you managed to get some, sub 52! ;) If 50p is good enough for Seb Vettel and Toto Wolff.....

Bentley sell on average 5000 of their SUVs. I can't see why Aston won't be the same. AML just needed 1400 orders to release a further 100m.

@Swiss Tony you are totally right, I’m sure I read somewhere maybe a month or two ago that investindustrial would be reducing their position. I wasn’t sure how true that was at the time and I certainly didn’t think it would be down to 0, although I’m glad they’re out. Clear to see they’ve done it gradually on the open market, otherwise we’d have seen a massive spike downwards. This can only be seen as good news, as surely the sales II have been making have suppressed any possible share price growth. It also shows (if I haven’t said it 5 times already) +/- 10% around 50p is the real bottom for this stock. It can only go in one direction from here - possibly this is the time for me to top up (even though I prefer averaging down, I don’t think we’ll be down into the low 40’s high 30’s again). In other good news did anyone else hold onto their NIO Inc shares from June, hmmm?! :D

Latest RNS shows the Italian fund have completely sold out. That's over 30% of the company down to 0%. Onwards and upwards.
