03/12/2020 14:25 | When is next trading update? | llama1978
03/12/2020 11:13 | I'm sure (IMHO) that AML will announce variants of the DBX soon. | pwal
01/12/2020 18:52 | It's just dawned on me ! Hope there ain't bad news in the morning , why would it keep on declining in a day where everything around was buoyant | bakedbean
01/12/2020 16:47 | I bought in today, ever since then it was on a steady decline ... fgs I sell a share it goes up .. I buy a share .. it goes down :( | bakedbean
01/12/2020 16:39 | What are your thoughts for the next few days Bashor? | swiss tony
01/12/2020 16:34 | Well that was a fairly disappointing day | bashor
27/11/2020 16:37 | AML should stick Tesla badges on the DBX and save a lot of hassle. | only who?
27/11/2020 14:36 | It's amazing how much has changed. My broker 25 years ago was Charles Schwab, now it's IG. Worlds apart, now I rarely think about share certificates etc. I used to buy turnaround companies and ignore them for years, occasionally checking in at AGMs etc to keep up with progress. Now it's all short term thinking, and if you don't adapt, you get rinsed. So now I check too much, and it's all a self fulfilling prophecy, selling the peaks and buying the dips. AML intrigue me though, I cannot work out if Stroll is hedging the F1 team with AML or hedging AML with the F1 team. He made loads of money in things which didn't involve emotion, but having his son driving in his F1 team has changed all that. I still hold a small amount, so I get a vote at the GM, but am waiting to see what happens before investing decent sums again. The DBX NEEDS to be a hit, and if they fail to provide any more numbers in December, then they are in real REAL trouble because good news gets shared loudly, especially by someone like Stroll. What are your thoughts Plat, you in aml? | swiss tony
27/11/2020 08:24 | Lol true Swiss and I'm sure they'd love too.The trouble with shares though is the attached voting rights and dividends. Even if SB and CFD providers ran their own books, they would come a cropper in forwarding on the benefits of share ownership.Individual shares can't provide infinite voting rights or dividends. | plat hunter
26/11/2020 06:54 | Plat, that can't be far away, the banks have been doing it since the beginning of time. ;) | swiss tony
25/11/2020 18:28 | Maybe it changed after MiFID (when I stopped SB),but 100% hedge seems unlikely. Indices, major FX and other liquid markets tend to be 'self hedging' and can be left alone until someone wants to open a whopper of a trade. DYOR, of course! | only who?
25/11/2020 16:35 | They do, it forms part of their CAD requirement.Otherwis | plat hunter
25/11/2020 16:02 | I thought no matter what you bet, they have to do the same in the market to cover themselves, and made money on spreads and fees. I always buy shares with cash and only really shorted indices when covid hit, so pretty naive tbh... I did email IG and they categorically stated there was no borrowable stock on AML. Maybe that's another upside to constrollidation, fewer shares about to be borrowed for going short. Everyone gets hung up on short tracking when it's quite normal for bondholders of 15% rates to hedge their holding with a short. | swiss tony
25/11/2020 09:49 | SB cos make their own market, so they can still rely on punters losing 90% of the time, or whatever, without hedging. | only who?
25/11/2020 08:44 | Doubt it's that, IG say none of the AML stock is borrowable. Would love to know if Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors shares were in a similar situation ;) | swiss tony
24/11/2020 12:34 | Spread Bet | only who?
24/11/2020 10:06 | Only who, am I being thick here, SB? | swiss tony |
