EOD. No-one can influence a share price on a BB. I am no trader, I buy and hold. This BB was super quiet, then we get folk coming on spouting crazy numbers when the share price spikes. Lots of people get suckered in on these spikes because of FOMO. I have no idea what the share price will do next, no-one does.

@Anony Mous RobinGood is always talking nonsense on here, taken over from @Sanks I think. But been a bit quiet of late. Can’t wait to hear when we’ll be hitting that 36p RobinGood’s been on about so much over the past 4 months. I’d probably buy more at 36p, so I’m keen to know RobinGood’s thoughts! :D

@eodfire I personally haven’t touched any of my holding since April/May. Not thinking to top up either as I’m happy to keep my portfolio balanced where it is. Bought nice holding in Nio Inc in June, and still holding on to my Tesla from April/May. I’m a long term holder, don’t mind keeping the money there for several years especially now there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. The smart investor is not day or swing trading here.

The price was artificially held in anticipation of a pump & dump opportunity. Baby, holding, left comes to mind.

I agree with most of what's said above. The Stroll/Times article was timed perfectly as his court case starts. (Into his purchase of Racing Point). Stroll has probably saved the company from bankruptcy in the near future, but they still have a long way to go. His hands were tied, the 10.5% bonds were the only real option, but AML are paying circa £90 million interest per year for the pleasure! Nice to see a rise, but let's not get carried away. They only sold 345 DBXs in Q3 too, and they kept that very quiet on the conference call. This is a year or two away from any real movement in share price I would say, they need the DBX to be a success, and the market needs to see real evidence of that. I personally think it will spike and drift back, so new investors.... watch out for buying at the top. So many folk got caught out the last few times.

I believe the brand alone could be worth £2bn and F1 next season can only help the brand value

@bashor, I do agree that it will never reach to £19 again due to number of new share issued but I do think that current market cap is way under compare to where company stands now. 2b market is easily achievable by spring and if Stroll can prove that it can turn over and produce 2b/year turnover than valuation could reach turnover times 5=10B . That's how the market value the company but first it need to produce the result.

I think the article from Stroll in the Times was very telling. Obviously a very assured and measured man. What he has managed to achieve in the past 8-9 months has been remarkable, given where AML were last at the start of the year and with Covid-19. I believe we're seeing a rise based on overall market sentiment AND, because COVID was the last dark cloud over Aston Martin share price. I think analysts were worried weakened demand would affect sales revenue for many months if not years, and that the money would soon run out - again. Stroll confirming in his article that they have the money, Merc propping up the EV parts and tech worth hundreds of millions (with hybrid cars coming soon, EV cars circa 2025 which is 5 years ahead of Bentley, Lambo and who knows when Ferrari will be ready) and stating the company will be profitable by 2025 AND even going as far to set his own share price target of £9 per share by then - that's why this stock is moving upwards now. I'm looking at @Porsche and @RobinGood right now, looking very foolish i'd say. Writing countless lines about how this company is trash and it's falling to 3p. TOTAL NONSENSE!! They'll tell you they know more than Stroll himself. Always interesting how when the share price goes up like this they get very quiet. Poor Sanks, where are you now mate?

Forget it was ever £19 a share, with all the dilution I suspect (haven’t done to number crunching) the equivalent of £19 would be not much over £2

@robbnow I total agree, we will very soon true value of AML. It's in lot better position than in Jan. Liquidity sorted, Access to MERC team New excellent management COVID second wave reached peak Vaccine on the way.. Only way is upward.. "As such, I think the car producer has put its major problems in the rear view mirror. That’s why I’m now taking a closer look at the Aston Martin share price once again. The business seems to have turned a corner and, if it can manage to replicate even a sliver of Ferrari’s success over the next few years, profits could surge" https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/aston-martin-share-price-why-103632190.html

Plus lets face it , if Covid ends and a Vac is found , all markets are going to motor esp for a brand like AML . The DBX is a superb new car and a money making machine for Aston . Imagine how many they will sell in the US and China when Covid is done . Ive added top my shares . I reckon Stoll is right

Hi all. Is this rise due to imminent news, like the loan notes being oversubscribed or some sort of Mercedes take-over? Or is it just the general excitement in the market about vaccines?
