29/5/2024 16:45 | I thought trt may have put in an appearance today. He's probably engaged in deep analysis elsewhere so i'll do the honours. The markets are in more than a retrace currently. Trend reversal? maybe, Pullback? probably. Viewing the AHT chart it will be seen I have added two dark blue dashed lines which indicate recent pullback lows. A close and hold below the lower one would be concerning to holders but of interest to likely buyers. 5300 has previously been a strong resistance zone and has also given support. There is an earnings report on 18th June. AHT DAILY | ![]() bracke
24/5/2024 18:50 | fenners Hate speech! Never. I'll leave that to the PET Dreamers. I would never imply anything about your reputation which remains unsullied....mostly. As for PET share certificates the thought that you would own them never crossed my mind. As they are in considerable number (184 million at last count) and just short of worthless I thought you may have calculated they are cheaper than toilet tissue. I shouldn't degrade PET shares, there are people who hold them in hope and others who have lost a lot of money. I consider myself fortunate to have down well with them many years ago. | ![]() bracke
24/5/2024 13:26 | bracke how could you think of me as so heathen ? I am shocked and offended ! I question whether adding in that kind of detail and the implications for my reputation verge on some sort of hate speech ! You KNOW there is absolutely NO CHANCE I would own any PET share certificates ! | ![]() fenners66
24/5/2024 13:20 | Good day fenners I have a vision of you hunched over a boiling cauldron chanting incantations to increase the number and ferocity of hurricanes whilst adding eye of newt, leg of frog and PET share certificates. | ![]() bracke
23/5/2024 20:59 | From the BBC "The North Atlantic could get as many as seven major hurricanes of category three strength or over this year, which would be more than double the usual number, the US weather agency NOAA has warned. Normally you'd expect three major hurricanes in a season. As many as 13 Atlantic hurricanes of category one or above are forecast for the period, which runs from June to November. 23/5/2024 09:38 | National grid announcement of £60bn infrastructure spend over the next 5 years. seems about £9bn may be spent in the US But it is a future infrastructure pointer clearly energy networks are going to need a lot spent on them Maybe they will be needing some plant with that. | ![]() fenners66
22/5/2024 20:06 | Thank you MrbPink fibs look do much better! As for Sunak's pretty please Andrew - June cut was 50:50 apparently, now 19%, but as you say perhaps June's odds may get better?. Unfortunately Mr Hunts possible tax cuts may also scupper Andrew's hopes of taming inflation......it's a complete farce IMO. | ![]() disc0dave46
22/5/2024 16:51 | Good day disc0 Given that the FED do not appear to be in any rush to cut the rate Mr Bailey will not be in any hurry either. Perhaps Mr Sunak may ask him nicely "pretty please Andrew" if he wouldn't mind making a few cuts before November. EDIT - 'before November' should now read 'before July' "pretty, pretty, pretty please Andrew" Todays opening gap filled so all is right in Ashtead World.....for now. AHT DAILY - !!!!NOW WITH ADDED PINK!!!! | ![]() bracke
22/5/2024 16:39 | Thanks as ever Mr bSo now it looks like a 0.2% miss on inflation forecasts means Mr Bailey has an excuse to kick the rate can further down the road - some are saying it's now August / Sept instead of next month.Ps pretty chart!, but would be much prettier with a bit of pink! lol (only kidding) | ![]() disc0dave46
22/5/2024 13:09 | The share price has done the 'right' thing today and filled the gap at 5704. In doing so it has opened a gap at yesterdays close 5792; maybe it will fill it later today. Two US Events today Nvidia results and FED Minutes will likely determine which gap will fill first the one to the upside at 5792 or the one to the low side at 5558. AHT DAILY | ![]() bracke

21/5/2024 17:07 | disc0 "Anyway, so they reckon no rate rises are on the cards, no kidding!." ==================== Hmmmm.....I remember Mr Powell and 'transitory'. What is said and what is done often do not agree. However I would be surprised if there was a rate increase. The increased price in metals especially gold suggests the market is more concerned with a drop in equity values. All eyes on Nvidia tomorrow. | ![]() bracke
21/5/2024 15:53 | Good afternoon Mr bI've so many fans over on YU I'm thinking of opening a twitter account for me and the hound. Note the other disco's membership date and all his other handles, wink wink you know who!.Anyway, so they reckon no rate rises are on the cards, no kidding!. Still need more data apparently despite the fact they've caused the wage increases in the first place...couldn't really make it up!Thanks as ever though for your guru TA views.....surprised trt hasn't also shown anappearance :) | ![]() disc0dave46
21/5/2024 15:31 | Good day disc0 "I see my stalker is paying me a visit here now :)" ==================== It must be nice to feel wanted. A few FED members lining up to give us the benefit of their thought, not that they will say much different from previously. The AHT share price appears to have taken to heart what has been said or was it an overwhelming desire to fill the gap at 5704 which unfortunately it failed to do by 6p. There is till time so it may make another attempt. | ![]() bracke

17/5/2024 11:28 | Good day fenners "bracke - sell on rise and wait for the fall Can you stop giving the market ideas please?" ==================== Viewing the chart illustrates the market has been doing exactly what I posted long before I did so. Buy and hold continuously is not the best strategy with this share. Todays price action which is likely to be just a retrace or part of one sets the level where buyers disappear and sellers take over. A retrace to fill the gap at 5704 is likely and 5558 a fair possibility. Within the ascending channel it will be seen that the share price following a rise to the top line has dropped to the bottom line twice but has avoided doing so since April. A pullback to the bottom line should not be discounted if a US rate cut is not forthcoming in June. If it does drop to the bottom line I may even buy some myself!! AHT DAILY | ![]() bracke
