I was actually being overly in favour of bank rates in that to get 5% you need to fix without access as interest rates are coming down. Taxation would potentially be more favourable to invest in AAU if outside pension or isa CGT vs income assuming used up tax free interest allowance. Obviously risk is different but imho compelling with caveat that it's acceptable to your level of risk.

If money is held in banks at 5% return then after two years AAU would only have to be 2.5p to beat deposit returns . Quite a compelling investment proposition .

But we thought 5.5p was doable in 2023, as did the Brokers. Still good to see most of you are very optimistic that Ariana has turned the corner.

Year high 6.5 (Tavsan first gold and some drill results finally coming out the lab)Year end 5.2. A significant rise from where we are true but with 2 mines producing and anything else from the rest of the portfolio surely doable.

It takes 15 years, on average, from drilling a project to first production from a gold mine. Several projects in Turkey average well over 20 years. It takes patience and skill to develop a mine. We have done it once and we will do it again.
