14/12/2023 09:39 | 68 dollars? Well, that would be a big difference to a producer with costs at 1800 dollars an ounce like HUM? AAU costs are in the lowest quartile due to excellent management and geologists!68 dollars - it's a lot to you :-D | ![]() shortarm
14/12/2023 08:17 | 10 x stocks in the last 10 years on aim and lse none of it were mining/energy and tech was no good too consumers and old economy won i think commodities decade we are entering for 10 x returns | ![]() kaos3
14/12/2023 08:13 | Do we get an update next Friday(22nd)?, We did last year and they should have some detail on the new Turkish plant to report. Timing would line up nicely with the rising gold price and the hopefully upcoming return of small cap interest. | ![]() thanksamillion
13/12/2023 20:54 | Let's see if miners follow suit this time, because if they do, then you know this time it's for real, and about time too! | ![]() renniks2016

13/12/2023 18:16 | And yet it has gone from over 6p to fighting to hold 2p Charles. No problem konil, that's what these discussion boards are for. I maybe wrong this time but I have seen this underperform for a long time. | ![]() soulsauce
13/12/2023 17:58 | soul, i do not agree with your suggestion that ks is taking his own time in growing the company. we all know its a slow industry and taking a project from scratch (prospecting pre-find) to production can take over a decade - that is assuming a find is made. on the contrary, ks is trying to escalate aau growth by taking stakes in various enterprises further along the line while balancing the potential cost vs. payback i.e. if its too far along the path it will be expensive to buy-in and the uplift due to further progress will be less marked, but get in earlier and add value and the uplift could be spectacular even years before production starts. some such stakes could be sold off and profits distributed to shareholders. given ks's experience and understanding of this value curve and industry contacts and importantly the cash available, this is not just a scattergun approach to opportunities. a big negative - keyman risk. i do agree aau could do much better with keeping investors and the market informed about the core projects underway. am i currently satisfied with my investment here? no. massively under water. do i blame aau for this. no. there are many external forces which companies and especially mining companies have no control over. am i satsified with my investment in aau for the future. absolutely. even though i'm no spring chicken and having over-commited here i can ill afford the (paper) loss to date, the potential here is extraordinary. in brief, investor frustrations are mainly to do with the lack of information put out by aau on their core projects but as an investment the mix of production income - soon to grow markedly (more than double?), the lack of debt, and the blue sky potential both in existing projects and projects being bought into, makes it very difficult to beat. once regular dividends are established (18 months?) it will be an exceptional rarity in the small miner world. i hope my personal circumstances will allow me to continue holding aau and in time to even buy more. | ![]() konil
13/12/2023 17:49 | A very well managed company indeed! Several on here moan about marketing and promotion - I've bought more, Renniks has bought more, Biggles has bought more!! Sure, someone has sold 20 million or so - would masses of news change that if he needed the money? Nah.One day he's out and all our little acorns are trees! | ![]() shortarm
13/12/2023 17:35 | Soul - it is true that I am not always in agreement with Kerim's strategic thinking, but having said that, I trust his geological expertise and qualifications. I am of the opinion that the company has transformed from a cash hungry minnow to a respected low-cost self-sufficient miner using state of the art methods and technology. In my time i have seen too many supposedly incredible one trick ponies come and go because they have tried to grow too big too fast with only one main source of income that has run into a problem and taken the company down, or a geologist who has misinformed the company with the same result. I have watched AAU grow slowly and has earned my trust. I would trust the company to manage organic growth without my intervention, this is the one I want to be with. | ![]() charles clore
13/12/2023 16:43 | Heard from the press yesterday that focus will transfer from the current target of the main market to small caps in January, it was just a snippet and they did say it wouldn't be for long. We do need some help after all this time. | ![]() thanksamillion
13/12/2023 16:38 | He is growing the company in his own time and at his own pace that's suits him and his retirement options. He has no inclination towards shareholders and shareholder value in the short or even medium term (imo). Does he ever mention shareholder value? Shareholders were just a means to an end and now I am sure (imo) that he would sooner be without them. Now I know you are of a certain age Charles and I am not sure that this is going to meet your timeline but it may well do well for your children but I am sure there are better options for you out there as and when the junior market turns. I am here for only 2 things now. My remaining shares are so underwater it's not worth selling and fomo as I have stuck with this underperforming dawdler for so long I might as well see how it plays out. But as I have said many times I do not understand why so many people are so loyal to this with so little payback in return and a BoD that totally doesn't get that and in the hope that things are going to change and get better down the line but rarely do. I am sure when all boats start to lift this will be in there but it will do it in it's usual way left in the wake of many many others. | ![]() soulsauce
13/12/2023 16:03 | Oh dear me soul, I wouldn't have thought Kerim is playing. I think he is firmly focused and serious about growing the company to a point where it can no longer be ignored. That's why I am still here, how about you? | ![]() charles clore
13/12/2023 12:48 | I probably have Charles because it's true and has done so even when other gold stocks have been on good runs. Until the company get someone on board to start managing this better and more proactively instead of his personal geologists plaything (imo) then it will probably remain the case. | ![]() soulsauce
13/12/2023 12:39 | Soul - forgive me but I think you have said something similar before lol | ![]() charles clore
13/12/2023 12:37 | Spot on Jaf. Nailed it with that comment. | ![]() soulsauce
13/12/2023 12:36 | And all I was saying is Charles it isn't that shocking as most of the guesses were outrageous. To have attained near a large majority of those choices Ariana would have to have done something it has rarely done in it's near 20yr existence and massively outperformed. As it is in the company's nature to be overly conservative in everything it does, under promote and keep shareholders like mushrooms then that is highly unlikely. | ![]() soulsauce
13/12/2023 12:36 | Plas - no I don't think we are delusional at all. We believe what we believe but sometimes forget about mining timescales and obstacles that prevent smooth progress. I am sure we will be equally surprised when things get moving, maybe next year. | ![]() charles clore
13/12/2023 12:31 | As I recall I took the highest price of the year so far as the high and halved it for end of year. No other calculations, but I've been around long enough to know the company's strength is in achieving disappointing share prices. I wasn't taking it seriously enough to sell, unfortunately. | zangdook
13/12/2023 12:30 | IMHO, most of you were looking at the company. I was looking at the people who run it. | ![]() jaf1948 |
