20/7/2023 09:56 | I actually thought he underplayed the drilling aspects. However I don't know if I'm reading too much into it but there was a very confident undercurrent , but sure we will see. Could to explain it wasn't the grades that got them excited at Hiz but the overall geology indicators which are above my pay grade to understand. | bigglesbingham
20/7/2023 09:11 | Fingers crossed renniks. Thanks for posting the interview too. A much better interview with Kerim smiling again. | soulsauce
20/7/2023 09:05 | Agree renniks, just saying todays RNS whilst welcome is only the beginning of the Cyprus project. | thanksamillion
20/7/2023 08:55 | Again don't underestimate the team here. Get the IPO away, then see what happens, might even get earn in with HCM, Apliki as carrot. ? who knows, either way it is part of a plan, and sometimes you have to keep your cards close to your chest! | renniks2016
20/7/2023 08:41 | My thoughts too Temujiin. | thanksamillion
20/7/2023 08:35 | renniks - either you or different world will win the end of year competition, of that I'm certain. A double figure share price here by then the way things are going is almost nailed-on to me. | professor pettigrew
20/7/2023 08:22 | Totally agree Temujiin. Although it's great to be finally getting the Venus ipo away, without Apliki and Hellenic equipment it is just more holes in the ground. We have got plenty of resource proved up in Cyprus. | soulsauce
20/7/2023 08:01 | Although good to hear, I can't say I'm particularly excited about the IPO for more exploration sometime in the future, it's more a long term benefit for AAU. Yesterdays news about getting the second gold mine construction going and into production is way more important and the main reason buy/hold. Now if Venus announce discussions to get a copper mine into production, then that would be a big deal worth getting excited about. | temujiin
20/7/2023 07:50 | Proactive interviews covers a few topics, one Tavsan, small scale production in a couple of months!! cool. | renniks2016
20/7/2023 07:47 | yes - thank you BB they are responsive - respect - first PR. now corporate activity. very promising ... | kaos3
20/7/2023 07:42 | Thanks Biggles for putting your foot down, seems to have had the desired effect. | xow98
20/7/2023 07:21 | i admire their cash capital allocation discipline. they did not use 3 mil of our cash on Cyprus. a smooth and profitable exit could be made if and when needed over the market channel. an ATM. and earning fees for services provided to Venus meanwhile.... i never got an answer that i asked several times in imc - how much do we earn from providing our expert services to the companies in which we have minor /not really important/ investments. as this seems to be the main daily activity - and should be a good service providing earner to the AAU /capital gains is not daily activity/ what i got is - we are partners ... which smells to me - not enough - not charging their superior services at the market rates.... i could be completely wrong. it would just be good to know imho reading their AR - they are clearly not charging enough for the services they provide imho friends/family rates vs market rates | kaos3
20/7/2023 07:17 | Anyone else believe that at this level it will be massively over subscribed! I do. Great timing guys, and know doubt another indication that the tide is turning in the PM and commodities market, could be a huge interest in a few months time. | renniks2016
20/7/2023 07:14 | All is not forgiven until Apliki is sorted out. | zangdook
20/7/2023 07:12 | Oh dear! Not sure I can take any more stonking good news. Now the Venus IPO is on - and in a few months time too. Copper is steady and looks set to rise - demand will be huge going forward for it in any case. What say the deniers and doomsters here now? They'll be crying in their porridge come 8 am. | professor pettigrew
20/7/2023 07:11 | Well done AAU, all is forgiven :-) | dixi
20/7/2023 07:05 | Morning Rennicks you can add an IPO to the continued stream | bostanli
20/7/2023 07:02 | 3 in a row | xow98
20/7/2023 06:42 | For what it's worth, I don't see share buy back or dividends in the near future, 2 /3 years maybe be, I for one would be very disappointed in the company if this were to happen sooner, it shows lack of vision, growth plan and ambitions, of which they have in abundance, and only panders to the needy in the short term. What I do see happening is a continued stream of positive news flow, including acquisitions, and a fund raise, the later wont be anywhere near the level we are at now or even in 12 months, before anyone ones into meltdown over this, I do not consider this (if it were even to happen) a bad thing, we have multiple projects on the go, including many exploration targets, just one of these coming good would require funding at levels far greater than what we will be generating, even with Tavsan income, Zenit/Ozl/Proc may choose to self fund the progression of Salinbas, Ardala, Hizl, who knows? if that were the case, where would we find the funds to drill Leopard, develop or progress Apliki, Coglia, Pallas, Ammonite, Suport WTR with Silv. We might be cash rich for a 25m Mcap explorer with 1 gold/silver producing mine and another soon (in mining terms) to be producing. But as a 100m Mcap with many projects, will that go far enough? just a thought. lots of very interesting and exciting possibilities, all of which I am very open to hearing about and opinions on, as I still believe this is the most undervalued and underrated company I have in my portfolio, and while on the under theme, do not underestimate the skillset, quality, loyalty and ambition of AAU's team. AIMHO. | renniks2016
19/7/2023 23:52 | Both buy backs and dividends are nice to have if the cash can be spared. The first can increase the value of the portfolio while the second gives an immediate return to shareholders. I would like to see a limited buy back to initially reduce the shares to below 1 billion and clear some of the persistent sellers who play the price up and down. After that, an annual initial dividend of say 0.25p a share would keep me very happy. | charles clore
19/7/2023 22:50 | Share buy backs don't always translate into a stronger share price For a growth company to be thinking about such is ridiculous imo. Talking about share buy backs when we are letting Apliki slide by and the Venus ipo and everything else we have spent in Cyprus go begging is lunacy. Plus we need to ensure we keep as much of Hiz as we can and thus need to ensure we meet our pro rata costs going forward. And if after all that there is money going spare then it should be a regular dividend which will do more for attracting shareholders and hence increase the share price than buy backs. | soulsauce
19/7/2023 20:30 | Charles - yes agreed. Share buybacks for such a low priced stock are crucial in moving the share price up provided all the other fundamentals are in place, which they certainly are here. There's some decent sized holders here, and plenty more to come in the following months I suspect. With more positive news, a rising and strong gold price plus the announcement of share buybacks if they happen, then I'm pretty sure double figures are on the cards here by the year end. In any case, I'm looking to scoop the prize!!!! | professor pettigrew |
