18/7/2023 15:44 | Was it the Nigel Somerfield Note that got us off to a good start today or the price rise of gold? | ![]() plasybryn

18/7/2023 15:15 | We sold more than 50% of our production when we entered the JV. The gold price is not going to help the share price until we increase our production ounces and that looks a long way off at the moment. Announcing a Hot Maden would help. | ![]() xow98

18/7/2023 12:29 | No, what I am saying Charles we are probably not getting the full picture imo. I know go figure, Ariana shareholders not getting the full picture 😄 Read the CMRS rns for yourself. One project abandoned due to the Mod, the other as Capex was going to be too big to be of any benefit. That tells me for any of our prospects to work we need the Hellenic equipment to make it cost effective. Thus the hiatus of the Apliki deal is a big problem. Certainly CMRS abandoning Cyprus won't have helped getting the Venus ipo away. I do think shareholders need a fair explanation of the way forward. | ![]() soulsauce
18/7/2023 12:19 | C - a falling share price is often linked to large sellers. I have seen several shares flourish under less than honest management who give over ambitious reports that turn out to be worthless. The share price initially rises and carries with it the hopes of trusting shareholders, only to crash when the truth comes out. That is unlikely to happen here. In fact, I expect the opposite. | ![]() charles clore
18/7/2023 12:06 | Soul - are you suggesting that our management has been less than honest regarding Cyprus? | ![]() charles clore
18/7/2023 11:33 | The CMRS news re pulling out of Cyprus may give some clues as to why focus there has disappeared. I think the mgt should be a bit more candid about our prospects there. | ![]() soulsauce
18/7/2023 11:25 | There's one born every minute. Untill the management here stops dreaming or is changed, then this price is going in one direction only, DOWN.Too many investors are too keen to catch a falling knife , that is why they never make money | ![]() cinoib
18/7/2023 09:39 | Nigel Somerville's article is quite comprehensive and very positive. We are building up a very nice portfolio of assets here and I get the feeling that once gold pierces $2,000 and stays there, and Tavsan gets the go-ahead again, which cannot now be far away (note yesterday Erdogan was courting businesses as Turkey need foreign earnings, so pressure for the mine to go ahead will outweigh any tree-huggers), then we really will be off to the races very quickly. Accumulating at these levels. | ![]() professor pettigrew

18/7/2023 08:57 | Ariana – Good News From Slivova Gold Project Good news arrived yesterday from AIM-listed Gold producer in Turkey, Ariana Resources (AAU) as it continues to diversify its portfolio of projects. The latest missive concerns the Slivova project in Kosovo, held via its 75% holding in Western Tethyan Resources in Kosovo which in turn is earning in to up to 85% of Slivova by spending EUR 1.8 million. 18/7/2023 07:55 | On 6th June Panmure Gordon still had us as a BUY with a share price target of 5.49p. That took account of the delayed Tavsan permitting.I've seen one page Notes from WH Ireland, but none seem to carry a share price target. Have i missed this somehow? | ![]() plasybryn
18/7/2023 06:24 | In a note, WH Ireland analyst Paul Smith said: “We rate the potential in Slivova highly and view today’s news positively. “Slivova is a good prospect in our opinion and the first step into a very prospective belt in Europe – the Vardar Belt, a Jurassic-Cretaceous thrust and suture zone and part of the wider, and significant, Tethyan Belt which is host to many large deposits." “We see Slivova fitting into Ariana’s project sweet spot easily,” Smith added. “Ariana has demonstrated it is capable of funding and building these projects and uses pragmatic funding solutions and a strong technical skill base to deliver production and cash flow.” | ![]() xow98
17/7/2023 22:14 | I wouldn't put too much store on a £500m valuation, but I certainly see the potential for AAU's mcap to exceed £100m quite easily. Add the amount of gold and silver, and our unique business model in funding it and I think we are actually a sitting duck for a takeover between 10-15p eventually. It's rather comforting to have so much potential and already certified amounts of gold/silver fully funded with no debt. Don't underestimate all of a sudden one of the bigger players swooping on us out of the blue. | ![]() professor pettigrew
17/7/2023 21:55 | 500 mil Co If we have an X Co producing Y amount of gold that validates 500 m valuation AAU would have to have to mine much more gold to have the same valuation imho Because it can not command majority valuation premium. Its minority holdings will be at a discount value for the same gold produced. Takeover premium for gaining majority conrol etc lets say 20 - 30%. Or discount because of minorities ...general market situations | ![]() kaos3
17/7/2023 20:58 | Charles - spot on. I'm not sure what the free float is here, but there are quite a few holders with over a million shares, myself included. We all know the fundamentals here, no debt, plenty of gold/silver deposits that we've found, and the Kosovo news today was excellent. I think if everyone purchased as many as they can, and most importantly held, when gold goes back above $2,000 and hopefully by then we get another salinbas update ou'll see an almighty price squeeze here and the shares will find a new higher level. | ![]() professor pettigrew
17/7/2023 19:57 | I see a well funded company with a few million in the bank, a profitable mining operation in Turkey with another one on the starting blocks, then another 2 potentially high value prospects in the Salinbas region and an Australian interest. Today, we have some figures from Kosovo that look quite tasty. All for a mere 2.3p. You couldn't make it up. | ![]() charles clore
