It's normal pal for companies not to declare corporate action for something that doesn't affect purchase or sale of shares. If they issue corp action for every potential vote say directors in or out there would be such workload and no one votes. This is obviously very important but slips through the net. Fortunately they need 51% votes cast not 51% of shareholders so won't be a problem as long as those on here cast their votes

Scorscribler: Tell Ariana Resources. They can take it up with the NOMAD etc. That is disgraceful. It seems Nominees are choosing not top inform shareholders of the Corporate Action. It is down to us to contact them and tell them how to vote on our behalf. What a shambles. Now it is all by Proxy it is so important that shareholders take the trouble to register their vote.

Nice to see gold also creeping back up. That always raises interest in the gold/silver mining sector.

Some very well reasoned views Biggles putting things in perspective and correcting misinformation. I see the Co. has already been on Twitter this morning reminding people of today's Webinar. Anyone who wants to speak to the horses mouth, today is your chance. The momentum to Ariana Mark 11 is building and I for one am very bullish.

Sorry 4 not three reasons. But the big one for me is all his assets are linked to Ariana , pension investment and job so it was prudent to realise cash from the warrants, as a financial adviser I would advise some diversity. Also he's worked at AAU since university brought up family on not a huge salary compared to peers so in his forties he will have capital requirements for cash ; school fees , he's still in Aussie so say property etc. We don't know but bottom line is no director has reduced their shareholding this year they have increased so I hope this goes some way to explaining why I think the comment "why are directors selling so many" slightly inaccurate in context although factually correct in relation to KS. Obviously MDV in different financial position cos older and didn't need cash so his exercised warrants increased is holding without need to sell.

If you look at many comments on here the main reasons have been covered but my believe is as follows as a summary. Note KS is very private and doesn't believe he has to justify why he sold but here's my take for what it's worth. KS is only person who has sold but those have only been exercised warrants issued @1.55p and the result is he increased his shareholding in the company by 1.5m taking him to 19m. He exercised around 11.5m (approx) sold 10mill at ave price 5.55p. So he got say £550000. Cost to him was 180000 so profit say £370k. Tax bill would be £70k. So he has profit £300k. I believe the three main reasons are 1) he had offer to sell a chunk into market as a one off thus not affecting shareprice, 2) short window to exercise due to all the activity resulting in closed periods 3) if he didn't he may not be able to exercise in tax year which was tax efficient if rules on cap gains tax change4) he is assets all linked to AAU so wanted cash to spend .

I'm very pleased for holders of SGZ Scotgold Res that their share price is 100p and that the Company has a market capitalisation of £55m. Rather than say SGZ is overvalued I would just reiterate how staggeringly undervalued AAU is with a market cap of just £56m when it has a significant record of producing gold and silver, beating quarterly targets regularly and is about to get circa half its current valuation back in cash. The stock market throws up many anamolies!

There have been a number of questions posted on here regarding various aspects. I believe AAU have been receiving regular dividends from the JV so the delay up to this point has only benefited AAU bank balance. However I'm sure there are rules governing maintaining working capital ect so expect some cash in the bank. From reading historic rnss re tarsvan they were awaiting permits and it looks like these have been awarded from recent rns so positive in regard to being able to do drilling but looks as though it's been kicked down road , probably due to covid but isn't everything. Common sense to build in potential extra resource into feasibility to get best deal on debt finance. Not to fussed here because if deal goes through they are still cash rich and just means tarsvan income stream pushed back. However I see AAU as self financing exploration company again moving forward with some exceptional assets salinbas the jewel in crown with Cyprus not far behind.

Ok thanks Kirbs4. I had an earlier Issue with iii trying to vote at an AGM (with another company) but didn't register my interest early enough.
They don't make this easy :-(

I do Kev and I can't either, but as others have stated on this board it may be because there is no share action and therefore may need to call them. I am planning on calling tomorrow.

I have just contacted Barclays smart investor and confirmed that my 17.9m shares should be voted in favour of the resolution. Interestingly they said that this Arian meeting and vote would not be posted on the corporate action site or emailed / messaged to members as its not affecting Ariana shares directly (not a share split or consolidation or sale of the parent company) so I'm glad i phoned. Anyone wanting to instruct Barclays on which way to vote on the Ariana resolution needs to instruct them and also give them at least 7 days notice of the meeting - so those who hold through Barclays need to phone by Dec 22nd/ 23rd latest.
