The thing I do wonder is if they are going to increase the resource at Tavsan for the feasibility study is to make the project much bigger than originally planned.

I suspected something was afoot Plasybryn as the expected news never came.
That said as you rightly say it doesn't matter as much now and I think much more value will be forthcoming from new ventures.

Perhaps a bit more slippage doesn't matter so much now as we will only own 23.5%. I'm a bit surprised we weren't told before now though.

Not sure about that with Tavsan Charles as now production starting there is going to be at least another year further out.
I remember once getting savaged on here for daring to suggest there would be no production from Tavsan before 2020, it now looks like 22 at the best.

looks to me as though they are trying to wrap up Kizzle and Tavsan exploration so that they can mine them out and give Sally their full attention. I wouldn't mind betting that will eventually be bought out by Ozaltin.

And now we know why the Tavsan news has not come out.

I hope the continued exploration work at Tavsan is along side ramping up for production and we are not going down another drilling season before starting to build the plant etc or we may be waiting another year.
It reads to me that they are so that is further delay to Tavsan :-/

I would like to think all things AAU are going to be rapidly gathering pace now. For the first time in a while I feel like we're hitting the ground running. Now is definitely the time to be hanging around and not divesting out of AAU, in my most uneducated opinion :-)

Agree Plas with both points. The biggest for me is Kiziltepe as I think the LOM can be extended somewhat. This will be valuable in terms of increasing the valuation of assets, and therefor have a positive affect on share price hopefully. Bodes well.

Well again Soulsource, clearly Ozaltin recognise the potential at Tavsan. Understandably with limited resources we've done just what was necessary to get into production. Now with the cash and other resources it is all systems go to prove up Tavsan's full potential. Again another great accretive decision coming out so soon. I think this all bodes well for the future.

Wow the Ozaltin effect already at play. I've criticised AAU many times for not making extending the Life of Mine an absolute priority via Resource/Reserve drilling at Kiziltepe. And here we are No1 on the agenda. If anything has held back our valuation and put investors off in my mind it's been the limited life of mine. Whilst Kerim is relaxed knowing there's lots more gold& silver there, investors need to see a JORC statement. Great news in my opinion.

Free carry up to decision on developing the mine and then funded with debt, repayments to start when Salinbas starts producing.

My query was not about the structure of the new board, but about mine funding for Salinbas

How many directors will be appointed by each JV member? Sorry, I'm not trying to be negative, (look back at my postings) but it's my only fear about the future!

Too long into future but what would stop AAU and procea funding via debt and ozaltin funding via cash? Can't see it, think all will be funded via debt. Sure they would be able to get better return then the interest rate on a debt by investing elsewhere.

Three out of four directors would have to vote for that.
