05/12/2012 11:32 | marty51, Not so sure about Pai Pai just yet. More risk than the others, lets wait for TLW to give an update on its progress. Regards the Ngamia, if there is an election in the first half of next year, it maybe better to leave all testing until then and just continue with drilling at new locations. If that is the situation, not sure it would be wise to release updates on Twiga testing at this point, let it roll on. Get Sabisa, Kamba and Kongoni drilled in the meantime. I think many should look at this again, needs confirming, but serious implications if they can make it flow at commercial rates: "In addition to the net pay in shallower reservoirs, the well also penetrated a thick section of lower porosity fractured rocks below 2,272 metres that had extensive hydrocarbon shows over a gross interval of 796 metres. MOVEABLE OIL with an API greater than 30 degrees was also successfully sampled from this section" Cash | cashandcard
03/12/2012 20:19 | cash, I think its in the bag too, we should now get a series of strikes and if they can tackle the fractured rock then who knows what we could have. TLW salivated now its all gone quiet at Ngamia, but the cat is out the bag and at some point we should get a great result there, if you dig over the reports earlier this year then they are a great refresher at this leaner times with AOI. Bit disheartened at the minute but its the same old story here, patience, lets have it right when I started buying at $2 in feb id have taken todays price all day long. Also holding a big chunk of HRN at bottom money now and am eyeing Taipan (TPN) as they have history of dealing with the Lundin Group and are farming-out before year end, capped at $20m and another block (20% with Afren) plus a few mill cash, seems like it has legs. But AOI is my baby the others are just a punt. | marty51
03/12/2012 20:11 | A frustrating period of the journey for all holders apart from those who just enetered the fray. We spud Sabisa in a fortnight from here so thats another one underway, I think Pai Pai will either send this skywards or temporarily take another dollar off the SP, if thats the case I will buy more, I am just sitting on my holding for now. I sold 5K @ 10.23 and 5k @ 8.22 recently and lumped it into HRN, it seems like madness but I dont think it is. This is my core holding and I will run it for at least 12 drills then see where we are as Hill says. I do wonder if they are going to keep backing up the Ngamia results (if they think its a monster) until after the elections in March. I am genuinly miffed as to why theyre not giving out the figures yet, it could well be political risk. Be a nice catalyst to get this moving and the friends have all loaded up now so we should be ready to rock, going to be a long few weeks from here. | marty51

03/12/2012 11:55 | trading trend in Sweden suggests you may get in cheaper than this | juju44
03/12/2012 11:46 | Oh !!! I am happy with the entry point , but got to say I was expecting a return quicker than a year .. Thx for the comments guys .. ccr .. | ccr1958
03/12/2012 09:29 | Have to agree, this could be a very good entry point if you're looking a year ahead, but with paipai results due next and CoS so low it could be used to drag things lower. It's of pretty low relevance to the big prospects for AoI but share prices don't work on logic unfortunately. | fraserdean
02/12/2012 21:56 | Hi, The thread for the December Oil Stock Competition is still open. Deadline for entry is midnight tonight!!! Good luck!!! fb | flyingbull
02/12/2012 17:25 | marty51, Quite true, alot more risk with RRL, RMP, HRN. Having an operator like Tullow onboard makes one hell of a difference. However, I must say, I'm confident about the Tertiary albertine play proved at both Ngamia and Twiga now. The Cretaceous, although promising, remains to be seen - if it did not come in to prognosis, raising of funds at these prices will have been shrewd (especially as TLW/AOI must have some idea whats down there. Cash | cashandcard
02/12/2012 14:22 | yep, rrl a dog run by a clown | juju44
02/12/2012 14:21 | mind you that Landau can spin a yarn, I done money there as did all the holders, cant believe after all the fanny he still has the likes of Kev Yorks on the hook. They even flew him out to Trinidad so he could ramp his findings on the Boards. Desperate stuff indeed. I think with AOI we have about a dozen drills that should get it up to 2/3 times these levels. Just a little nervy on the elections in March as all hell seems to break lose. We will see. | marty51
02/12/2012 14:06 | That was my point juju ... are you still rrl bashing ? ccr. | ccr1958
01/12/2012 18:00 | why wouldnt the mates want loads when they can sell at 10$ to buy back at 8$ . you dont need to be too much of a maths expert to see the free money | juju44
01/12/2012 15:42 | Thx marty51.... Big placement indeed, but the fact that Mr Hill`s mates wanted so many , I take as very Bullish for the future ! I am used to slow burners with `bags ` of potential ,so will try and be patient .. ccr. | ccr1958
01/12/2012 11:49 | ccr1958 A very good entry point to get on IMO. If someone said to me this would have been back to the 7s I would have laughed. Another learning curve for all. If folks have a year or two to wait this should come very good all the same. Its a slower burner now as 13% of the Company was a heavy dilution and quite honestly badly handled. However its not a deal breaker and its still a hold for me. | marty51
30/11/2012 12:03 | lol - brilliant | juju44
30/11/2012 11:15 | I'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories, although apparently it was jimmy saville who paid lord lucan to kill princess di, she knew too much. | fraserdean
30/11/2012 10:40 | it wasnt Twiga result knocked the shares , it was the insiders selling so they could buy back cheaper.thats how it works. nevertheless i am still a holder as i think there will be more to come in the future | juju44
30/11/2012 10:10 | Rereading the analysts notes I've got to say I think the drop is overdone. Twiga was drilled to test the extent of the basin fault and hence further away from the big oil ie downdip, it will be tested at a later date updip for full reserves informtion. So i don't understand why it has been taken as such bad news. Was it just a good time to take profit regardlesss or because of the share issue? I dunno but looking at pure geology to me it doesn't appear to have downgraded the basin's potential. In addition you've got the deeper reservoir which may prove to be of no value though. So to me it looks like the potential is pretty much the same as before and the price is a lot lower although there are more shares and more cash in hand. Very tempting indeed. | fraserdean |
