I was disappointed by Nara as well, but now shares are oversold imho. Thanks for the update during the call. I have a hard time parsing what PP of total says.

Restocking continues. 1 of 3 OSV's has dept W Bay for Cape Town. Another has just left the W Bay docks for the rig. And the 3rd is probably taking on more supplies as at the W Bay quay. Rig still in W Bay Anchorage.

We have 80% of 2 new bocks awarded in EG:-

"In Block EG-31 the Company has identified several gas-prone prospects in shallow water depths of less than 80 meters and close to existing infrastructure, including the offshore Alba gas field and the onshore Punta Europa Liquefied Natural Gas ("LNG") Terminal. Potential future discoveries could present low-cost, low-risk gas development opportunities targeting international LNG markets.

In Block EG-18 the Company has identified a potentially large and highly prospective basin floor fan prospect of Cretaceous age, that is similar to those within the Company's exploration portfolio in Namibia and South Africa."

Good to see we haven't given up on replenishing the expln hopper.

The above rig is still in Hanoytangen (Norway) as being re-activated.

If results of drilling +ve, Total will go straight into fast track development mode without further ado (appraisal drilling) like they did on Block 17 Angola 25 yrs ago.

Ah! That explains the route choice. Logistics. T Explorer in DPS mode just off the wharf in Las Palmas Port (GC) presumably for re-stocking. Could be there 7 days max? According to the other place its approx 22 days sailing at 7 knts to drill site which sounds reasonable. Spud 2nd half Feb maybe?.....

Edit 12/Jan---> Can't say I've noticed any supply vessel activity around the rig so we may be in port a tad longer than anticipated.

Edit 18/Jan---> After days of inactivity a (refuelling?) tanker is alongside Tungsten Explorer.

Edit 25/Jan ---> After a few days at sea back in Port. No sign of supply vessel activity.

Edit 26/Jan ---> T Explr now about 100kms SSW of port. Hopefully on it's way to Namibia.

21 December 2022 – "Eni announces a new gas discovery offshore Cyprus with the well Zeus-1, drilled in Block 6, 162 km off the coastline in 2300 meters of water depth. The Block is operated by Eni Cyprus, holding 50% interest, with TotalEnergies as partner.

Zeus-1 is the third consecutive discovery in Block 6. It follows Cronos-1 and Calypso-1 and confirms the promising outlook for the area and its development. Zeus-1 encountered 105 meters of net gas pay in a carbonate reservoir sequence. The gas in place associated to this reservoir is preliminarily estimated between 2 and 3 TCF.

Zeus-1 well was drilled and successfully tested with the Tungsten Explorer drill ship.

Tungsten Explorer is Total's rig for Namibia and is now on its way to Limassol Anchorage.

Block 3B/4B is believed by many explorers — despite the scale of the Venus and Graff discoveries across the border in Namibia — to be the potential sweet spot of the Orange basin.

As a result, operator Africa Oil and its partners are understood to be close to agreeing a farm-out deal covering a possible 55% stake in the acreage that could see exploration drilling start in 2023 or 2024."

180 days and 90 days, respectively."

The move to charter Northern Ocean’s semi-submersible rig Deepsea Mira confirms a recent Upstream report that the supermajor was looking at bringing two rigs into Namibia to accelerate drilling plans on and around its huge Venus oil discovery. Northern Ocean said its contract is due to start in the middle of the second quarter of 2023 and has an estimated firm duration of 300 days."

Looks like the 1st rig for Namibia Tungsten Explorer is still working for ENI/Total offshore Cyprus, midway between Limassol and Alexandria.

Venus appraisal should make for an interesting 2023 :)
