Posted at 20/2/2023 15:53 by xxnjr AOI need to have some expln assets after they sell SAfr/Namibia! |
Posted at 02/9/2022 09:25 by martinfrench did see that, not remotely bothered, i think it was the way they applied from what i readwill reapply and get it done, i think these green maneouvers will be stopping soon, and SA are fully on board with getting their own oil and gas AFE moving up very nicely, deadline is sept 6th, so the application should be on time and all is going well i believe more to AOI, and if gazania hits then can see AOI getting near $3 oil back as well, these ridiculous shake downs and manipulation are seriously laughable if you follow reco in namibia, they are moving too...... |
Posted at 22/8/2022 14:36 by martinfrench i think venus is pretty much a success, has come in, though there have been the odd bad appraisal well.will be an awful lot of walking back by the media and other commentators if it isnt..... agreed partly on gazania, though of course its up dip from an existing find, though flow rates were poor. aoi have a very good track record of discoveries, and impact are also in through AFE. if it was just down to eco i wouldnt really be that excited, they just throw darts at a dart board |
Posted at 28/4/2022 15:14 by martinfrench well, all concerned partners will say that, they never overplay resources until the very very end (maybe Gil is the exception), as you know they simply cant speculate even keith hill on the aoi results said looks good, but just wouldnt speculate, did say look at the woodmac piece but the total guy is right, it will take appraisal wells and of course to get to the 13.4 billion we are obviously talking block 2912 venus west plus 2913b venus itself but in due course it possibly will get to 13.4, from my experience reserves almost always get continually revised up we shall see, still, aoi very undervalued, but we need something from kenya and AFE to keep it all going |
Posted at 27/4/2022 10:04 by martinfrench a new poster !are you in xxjnr ? or thinking about it if upstream are correct and they have been on everything so far, thats about $8 to aoi on venus alone, and were currently going to open around 2.60 in tsx land |
Posted at 05/4/2022 14:11 by trbutler AOI traded at around 8.50 SEK/sh before they bought their Nigerian assets. That deal was with no doubt a quite good deal. Today paid by its own oil-flow in 2 years having more reserves than when bought in 2020! These are assets that will keep giving for another 30 years. Preowei was not included in the Company’s original reserves estimates. AOI today is trading in Sweden @ 17.2 SEK / sh. 8.50 SEK/sh was what the market paid before without these Nigerian assets.... are then those now almost fully paid Nigerian assets worth only 8.7 SEK/sh to AOI OR worth what they paid (10.20 SEK/sh), or more? NPV10 shows around 30 SEK /sh. They paid $519.5 million or SEK 4866 million eq. around 10.20 SEK/ sh. As the Nigerian assets today still include most or all the producing assets it had before the deal (will soon also be able to add 2P when Preowei goes from 2C->2P) these assets has in 2 years more than proved their value to AOI. And would have done so to any other company. To start with they are obviously worth at least the good price they paid. Seems even better as these assets today are valued @ NPV10 above 30 SEK/sh. So what about all Non-Nigerian assets are they still worth the same 8.50 SEK/sh as before the deal, now including the Venus discovery, or less than 7 SEK / sh (17.2-10.2=7)? These 7 SEK / sh must somehow include the massive Venus discovery that is estimated to around 3 billion barrels exact size to be proved but a good estimate by Woodmac of 3 billion barels gives it a value close to the market cap so this discovery must have SOME value already as of today. |
Posted at 15/3/2022 15:53 by trbutler Martin. He made you laugh ...I mean telling the audience he can say its 3 billion ...he or anyone can tell this me or you, only involved cannot say it - still only a qualified guess by someone that Woodmac got hold on or theyguessed themselves then Upstream published it. We don't know until we do and neither does he. I noted "at least" 3 billion barrels. Given thickness it will most likely turn out to be much more. Anyway on a Canadian forum a certain supermajor is rumoured to already be negociating acquiring Impact's intrest in Block 2912/2913B. Could be true or could be made up - it doesn't really matter. AOI announced they want to sell and the most likely buyer here would be Shell. Worth extra dollars to Shell having the Graff-1 discovery so I cannot imagine they would sell less than what will give AOI $2.5-3/Share given it is 3 billion barrels getting additional later when size certified to be 4 billion barrels or whatever. You could be right, some traders may be into trading explorer for that reason only i.e. buy on rumour, sell on fact ...whatever fact. |
Posted at 22/2/2022 11:01 by martinfrench buy, keep or sell.....]well the sell option isnt for me, the other 2 are, i just ponder whether to top up or not, the only dilemma from this position or much earlier you cant really lose with AOI, if its a duster, keith will have a cheaper target to buy back shares, and nigeria will be around for 7 or so years it would be a slight dampner, but aoi will get there in the end, and ive always said $10 in 3-4 years maybe sooner with venus and afe getting full value |
Posted at 18/2/2022 09:31 by martinfrench need a top up on something, not sure what, tharisa, sylvania and africa oil are my untouchable shares, and by far biggest holdings (well over 60%), so will decide, and have more than enough AFEthe problem is i dont rfate TRP, I do like pan continental but very illiquid and AFE own a chunk, ECO you are exposed to by AOI, so hmmmmm not too sure, prob just chuck it into AOI or THS is expect |
Posted at 06/2/2022 11:10 by martinfrench africa energy is one of them, still think massively overlooked....surge energy look very good as well, huge cash returns, safe fields in canada, industry leading or close to capital returns and break even above $50 cash flow should be > 50% of mkt cap at current levels dividend reinstated in 2022, 250 million debt, so manageable and not huge similar in some ways to aoi, meaning 21k barrels a day, cash flows being huge, debt being similar and similar mkt cap the BIG difference, and these are not for ray, is aoi's investments/explorat still cant find an oiler that is even close to AOI for cash flow, barrels, projects, exploration dont forget keith's aim to get AOI to a 100k barrels / day producer hxxps://wbn-today.co |
