Thanks Bozzy, I’m a ‘he’ by the way.

At least, I assume I can say that these days without anyone getting offended?

I think the MM'S moved up the price of AAZ because of the strong overnight surge in the POG. We are a gold producer after all... or we were once :(

SND - look like CRUX are completely out now with yesterdays late reported 3.8m sale. Funds/institutions not able - or willing - to hold stock in a private company/situation exiting stage left. Who’s taking the slack, retail? Maybe, maybe not. I’m intrigued by this one and may even end up with a holding in a non listed entity. Not for widows, orphans etc though!

Quick one re ETX / delisting / looking to relist in USA. My personal experience of a similar situation.

I bought shares in OCZ technology in early 2009 after they announced the same intention as ETX. They were a bit more positive in their statement, along the lines of 'we are looking to list on Nasdaq' rather than ETX's 'we may look to list in the future'.

Anyway, the share price collapsed from about 14p to 3p on the news. I bought a few for a trade at 5p. Doubled my money, and watched buyers flock in before the delisting date. Thought it unusual, but didn't know what relisting in USA meant. So I just took my profit and ran.

It did get onto Nasdaq just 1 year later. At $4.40 per share (roughly 280p then). Rocketed up to over $10 (650p) in 2011. No change to the share capital from when they were on LSE. They did eventually go bust. Don't think they ever made a profit after moving to USA!

The 130 bagger that got away.

PTAL turning into a stonking investment. Thanks to whoever tipped it on here. And also whoever tipped BOOM. I'm up 10% and 25% respectively in a few weeks.

PTAL paying 2c (US) per quarter dividend. Roughly 6.4 pence annually. 13% yield at the current offer price. Production and profitability on the rise, so the dividend looks safe.

BOOM a bit earlier in its business cycle. Just about on the verge of profitability. Could be in the sweet spot of being a growth company which pays dividends once they're profitable, as they have no debt.

Ta again Wan for creating a friendly, helpful, honest, and forthright but polite board. I do read every post, even if I only speak once in a while.

Very impressed with Bumpa's pre-open trading - he/she seems to beat the market makers frequently this way!

Twitter thread from CEO of E-Therapeutics ETX, who yesterday announced a £28.9m raise on the proviso that they go private

Ali Mortazavi
@AAMortazavi
A 🧵 on UK stockmarket - Today we announced a capital raise at a significant premium to the share price and an intention to delist from the London AIM market. Firstly, I am obviously sorry for the loss of liquidity/tax benefits that some retail investors will lose. That said, the total package is unquestionably a win for all $etx stakeholders. I’ve been the CEO of two UK listed biotech companies alongside a long career in the London financial markets. My overriding feeling in delisting $etx is one of sadness and great worry. To be clear, the UK markets are not just illiquid, completely broken and closed. The situation is worse for small growth companies (in particular biotech) but even sizeable companies such as Shell 👇 and many others are saying the same thing
We attempted a capital raise in Feb/Mar and frankly, we couldn’t even secure a serious meeting let alone have a shot at raising capital. We saw c.4 funds, one of whom said they may (may) invest £100K. I am not exaggerating when I say that a consistent message has been a blanket refusal to invest in an AIM company and that a private company would be far more attractive. This is not an $etx issue, in the last 2 weeks alone, 2 other small biotech companies have delisted from the market as well as dozens in other sectors over the last 12 months. there are obviously a whole host of reasons as to why we have reached this point. The markets are mirroring some of the general underlying problems that the UK is currently suffering from. Regardless, it is a time for urgent reform and action. #LSE #AIM $etx

As a final kicker - our raise took one of our main backers above the 25% threshold and triggered the National Security Investment Act (NSIA) which is frankly a shocking piece of legislation. Our raise is conditional on approval by the Secretary of State which although a formality (I hope), adds an extra 45 working days to the process. The legislation barring some small exemptions, is particularly punitive to biotechs, referred to as “synthetic biology”. a RT would be appreciated and much needed.

Gold powering ahead again .... hot CPI followed by complete BS PPI. US Govt. data is total garbage.
I now think a rate increase more of a necessity than a rate cut
