Biden cannot afford the inevitable $100+ Oil price if Israel retaliates immediately.
Irrespective of what Should be done, Biden's on the rack politically & so desperate for votes.
He knows Oil & Gas prices could blow up inflation and force the FED to raise rates before the election.

Anything that Biden does from here onwards is predominantly to try and gerrymander votes in November & certainly not what is in the best interests of America or any other country.

We're going to be in this dynamic for the next 6.5 months.

Assuming Trumps gets back in, that's likely when Israel will get the job done with regards Hamas & Iran. Meantime, they'll be cranking up manufacturing of munitions like never before.

vast majority of Iranians don't want a war with anyone .. it's only the headbanger shiite mullahs who perpetuate this war against Israel (& just about everyone else) as a means of hanging on to power.

Israel more likely to look forward to another cold dish of revenge at a later time .. hopefully by destroying the Iranian nuclear facilities as/when a good quantity of the mad mullahs are on a site visit.

A bit more than curious/coincidental that 48-72 hours before the recent massacre at the Crocus concert in Moscow, America publicly warned its agencies & citizens to specifically avoid large gatherings in Russia & exactly same 48 hours before this Iran attack on Israel.

can Iran launch/fire enough drones & missiles at any given time to overwhelm the capacity of the IDF dome, US & UK defence capabilities ???

If Israel believes not, then despite what the west says, Israel may want to now hit Iran back hard to send a clear message....

Israel now has the justification, in its eyes, to strike directly at Iran....

we can hurt you, but you cannot hurt us !!!

Thinking exactly the same MJ. Definitely a pre-warned 'attack' to save face. Looks like it was signposted 72 hours in advance. The last thing Iran wanted / needed was to provoke a reaction from Israel. Palestine has seen how ugly that would be.

Looks an overall good result for everyone, and hopefully draws a line under the current tensions. Expecting a rally rather than a crash tomorrow - we'll see if the market agrees.

I don't think so.... West want stability in the region...

Oil/Gas supply from Gulf makes up 40% of global demand/supply...

Population of Iran is more like 100 million?

For gap hunters, take a look at the 6mth chart for ITV.
If gaps must be closed, the current share price of 70p+
will have to fall back to circa 57p.

The whole event seems to have been very well forecast by the Americans and Israelis .. plenty of time to pre-warn citizens, move various air & sea assets into position, arm the Iron Dome systems etc.Looks to me that Iran had warned the USA in advance that it would be taking such action as a necessary limited retaliatory response for domestic 'face' purposes. All sides can now declare a 'success' for domestic purposes but it does still mark the first time Iran has attacked Israel directly & also clearly shows that Israel & its allies well capable of defending against this type of attack.Global munition manufacturers must be operating round the clock given the amount of ordnance being expended across the globe.Impact on oil prices more of a threat to the global economy than anything else & that is by far the biggest single lever that will drive up inflation and therefore further weaken the overly indebted western economies - particularly the USA.The price of oil & therefore price of Gas at the Pump will have a big impact of people's voting decisions in November - all this would seem to be raising the chances of a Trump win.

Israel says it and its allies have intercepted the vast majority of more than 300 drones and missiles launched by Iran.. It says there were a small number of hits on its territory, including at an IDF base in southern Israel, while one child has been injured..

so, provided Israel & the west has the firepower/ammunition stocks to defend that kind of attack, with that efficiently, Iran must know it can't win a war with that strategy!!!!

and that's a lot of wasted drones & missiles,,, even Putin won't want that, he needs the drones for his War!!

until it makes those nukes work I guess!!!

Iran statement just out,,,,, their operation is concluded,, a strike back, that's all,,,,,

so the ball's now in Israel's court !!!
