LLB, I wouldn't put it past this company to have already received dam raise approval but thought it not worth an rns! It would be a pleasant up date to learn that the raising is well underway and production is on the point of re-starting. Oh hang on the 1st was over two weeks ago..........

Good post Pogue

The USA (USD) is an empire (and currency) at the end of its life and has to engage in never ending wars to stay relevant and hold on to power. China, Russia and Iran (also BRICS) know this to be the case and that is why they have been stock piling gold (selling US Treasuries) for the last 10 years positioning themselves for the inevitable collapse of the USD.

After WWII NATO was necessary and it was a defensive alliance which brought stability. Unfortunately its morphed into an offensive organisation intent on the collapse of Russia. The Neocons and the Industrial military complex now just use NATO as a money making scheme.

Look at the destruction that NATO has done to north Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan in the last 20 years in the name of WMDs/ anti-terrorism etc.

Ukraine is not in NATO or EU why should we defend it? Since the fall of the Wall the only power expanding is NATO aka USA. It likes to surround countries with military bases and threaten them, have a look at the number of US bases around China and then the number of Chinese bases around USA for instance and try and work out who is the aggressor. USA did not like it during the Cuban missile crisis why should any other country like it?
We have no business in Ukraine trying to provoke a world war is not a good idea. Anyone suggesting Russia would attack a NATO country is trying to justify a war that will never happen and if it does worry about it then as clearly they would not get far.
Open your eyes to who is trying to start wars in this world and try and work out why, its not difficult there are basic economic books that explain it very simply.
An example this morning of how we are lied to. Israel attack Iran and Iran retaliate and a British politician suggests that Iran should be punished as a bully!!! Anyone with half a brain can see who started this current contretemps with Iran and yet our politicians rattle sabers, jeeze this world depresses me and the desire for war among our elite is sickening.
I await the shouts of Russian spy from the ignorant any sensible replies will be replied to.

Thanx C53, just seems logical to me that we could be doing this for Ukraine and I wonder why we aren't,, it's still only defence, we would not be directly attacking Putin!! I think even the Chinese would see that.. If it's physically possible to do we'd be saving lives!!!! Cheers Wan :-)

Wan where there is a political will there is a military way. Don't allow anyone to brow beat away from a good thought. Ukraine on their own have been doing a remarkably effective job defending themselves for two years now. Imagine how much more effective their defences would be with proper backing and re-supply from us!

As for that other old chestnut that many keep trying to frighten us with, including Putin... The obvious argument why NATO mustn't help Ukraine is the one that has been made since 2014 and more particularly since February 2022. The Nuclear threat. I believe sooner or later we're going to have to face Putin down on this one. Or he will simply force us to cower away from him forever using this threat... and getting his way... pushing all the boundaries and probably a few borders!!

We must help Ukraine defend itself... before Putin comes banging on your door or mine!

thanx, I see,,, so, it can't physically be achieved from positions outside of Ukraine in NATO countries, or by airforce flying close to Ukraine boarder, or by warships in Turkish waters in the black sea etc... Cheers Wan

to understand better read first three paras of this article ..... Iran's attack clearly has some hallmarks of the evolving Russian strategy of mixing drones with missiles to confuse & overwhelm defence assets:

in order to shoot Russian drones & missiles out of the sky above Eastern Ukraine, USA/NATO/UK would have to position their military assets in E. Ukraine.
Israel's Arrow & Iron Dome systems (the best in the world by some margin) have to be positioned close to the intended targets .... USA/NATO/UK are not going to position their assets in E. Ukraine in such a fashion.

if the UK, USA & France can shot drones and missles out of the skies above Israel,,, why can they not do the same for Ukraine,,, shoot Russian weapons out of the sky ??

it's still defence, not attack !?

Good luck with that, think I was in a similar situation years back and just took my medicine; can’t recall the stock right now.

Missed the last rites being given to HZM, another failed raise and imminent shareholder wipeout; though it’s pretty much wiped out most holders long ago.

No I was taking some more medicine by selling some more into the rise.
I’m going to keep what I have left now and see what happens after delist.

Evidently not, but as we're likely dealing with jobsworths apparatchiks, they'll be looking for the nod from on high. No one is going to do anything on their first day back from a holiday, so if we get news this week my guess would be Wednesday or Thursday.
