AAZ,
was flagged up to me by someone as having a fantastic management team which was a cut above the rest. Whilst I agree with that it didn’t stop me making losses on initial investments at around £1.40.
Since then I’ve slowly but surely realised that no matter how good the management and the company prospects the market will find a reason to stop you making money if you hold long or at best reduce the potential to make money.
Recent times my long is underwater but I have successfully traded AAZ numerous times.
How does my experience advocate AIM investing versus trading?
Given that AAZ was clearly one of the better companies?
That said I fully expect a bright future but with banana skins……

Well guys let's keep AZZ as a secret to ourselves. This BB Thread is also an anxcellent one.Wan has managed it very well run to say the least.
Wan' I will also congratulate you on the news when Karabach mine is handed over to AAZ. Never mind your £1.50 I would be disappointed if the shareprice is not North of £2 by then. Once this TD saga is over we will be getting news from AAZ hand over fist. Not long before this train leaves the station. Booking our tickets in advance for this journey is going to be a very exciting and rewarding experience IMHO.
Once the train leaves the station don't forget to put your seatbelt on. :-) :-)
Enjoy the weekend.

Well said Cmb, enjoy this brief spell of good weather.
By way of reminder:
1. Protocol agreed with gov to re-start operations
2. Gov representatives attended delivery of Cat equipment and open day at Gilar,
3.stated that floatation will re-start in Q2.
4. Improved relationship with community with greater engagement and support.
5, Commitment to internationally recognised high standard of Tailings management.
6. Clean bill of health on current operations.

Why stop the whole thing dead in its tracks now?

LOL Wan. I wish you success with your overbought position in AAZ shareholding.
It will please me immensely to know you have made a killing. Though you have gone through a lot of emotional stress. No gain without pain,eh ? I once made a lot of money. I then asked myself the question, was I really happy? The answer was things hadn't changed a much except I would never worry about money again. I retired a bit later on. Travelled a lot and then became bored. I bought holiday homes in Turkey and Cyprus. Then came COVID !! I lost a lot of my finances during this time. Sold the Turkish properties at a big loss. There was also big losses in the stockmarket.
I have been back in the UK for the past year. First winter in 16 years was spent here. I reflect on life and see how lucky I have been. I don't worry much about financial matters much these days as I hold property and enough finance to see me comfortably through the rest of my life. So why worry?? Have a good day and when good news lands shortly I will remind you that all the worrying and stress were a complete waste of time. :-). Have a good day. Lady luck will smile on you before too long. :-) :-).
ATB.

Next week may be interesting. PM prices were rocketing on Friday, only to reverse sharply and end in the red at the US close. Mining shares are showing signs of life, but will probably pull back if the PM price reversal continues into next week. If the longer term trend is still in place, that could provide a valuable buying opportunity.

No advice. I've never been more uncertain what the market will look like in 3, 6 months than i am now. To put in another, more honest, way: I never know where the market will be in 3,6 months time, but this time I am unable to fool myself that i do.

For those following Silver, esp HOC, FRES, CEY.
Their share price has risen very steeply during the last couple of weeks.
As a consequence, the 3mth charts show several small gaps in each.
Time will tell if they matter, but it might indicate share price easing back.

Good morning all.
Wan' all the worries about the TD could end up being just a storm in a tea cup.
The delay has proably been because of the various paperworks required by the Azari's. Then there was the holiday period in Azerbaijan. The burocrats taking their time etc etc.I am quite optimistic about the TD outcome being positive. :-)
Azerbaijan would be shooting themselves in the foot by causing problems for AAZ. Yes'for sure the local economy would be suffering too. AAZ provides employment for quite a number of local people. AAZ shares the profits with the Azari Government.
AAZ has already been given permission to start mining again. I have no fear about Azerbaijan taking over the mine.
I will be a buyer of AAZ shares after the TD news. Maybe the shareprice will fall at the first news as Matt has clarified that situation. I have funds ready to top up re the availability of shares to buy. It could be like looking for hens teeth !!
I am sure the mining has continued in the meantime. I am also sure they are ready to proceed with full production eagerly AIMHO ofcourse.
Enjoy the weekend and let's hope we get good news soon.
I have full faith in our BoD. I bet they have been busy knocking at all the relevant doors.

I don’t think the word punishment should be applied here. It’s a typical political issue, be it deemed fair or unfair.

With all the talk about AAZ being punished by the delayed TD news, is it possible that the intended punishment by the Aza gov is directed at the locals? The lack of mine income must be having a significant effect on the local economy.
Maybe AAZ will be well rewarded by the gov for the inconvenience, new NK mine perhaps?

USDJPY Seems to have been one of the main reasons for the move in Gold.
Looks like the 151 level is finally crumbling.

Sold two of my three AAZ trades into the rise.

There is no way the company would do that Master Investor. They have no involvement in when the decision about the TD is going to be made known.
Only the government have the power to release that news. To say the company has previous is not right .

More chance of the management announcing those two a day apart. Tank the share price with first rns so the people in the know can load up and then release the second rns. They have previous, and this is AIM remember.
