02/9/2020 08:53 | ODR, think it was recently stated somewhere that Apple has more cash than the combined market capitalisation of ALL listed gold miners anywhere and everywhere! | goodgrief
02/9/2020 08:15 | NK... think you'll find most commentators will state that gold miners are leveraged to the price of gold. | goodgrief
02/9/2020 08:13 | I bought some KETL on the bell, looks like a really significant RNS in a company the market has forgotten about. In profit already, which is nice | ![]() donald pond

02/9/2020 07:52 | AVCT - nice, cheers Wan :-) Dr. Alastair Smith, Chief Executive of Avacta Group commented: "I am delighted to have partnered with Abingdon Health to expand the manufacturing capacity for Avacta's rapid saliva-based COVID-19 test. Authorities around the world are now looking to carry-out frequent mass testing to identify the most infectious people promptly in order to reduce infection rates and combat the coronavirus pandemic. That requires a highly specific test to minimize false positives which would otherwise overwhelm healthcare systems. The Affimer reagents that we have generated are very specific to SARS-CoV-2 antigen and we are confident of meeting and exceeding the clinical performance requirements for identifying the most infectious people. | wanobi

02/9/2020 07:41 | I think AAZ just needs to get the newsflow going. AAU are good at that (I hold) so you get production updates from individual pits all the time, and they update on exploration on a pit by put basis. I think AAZ would do better to take that approach. A simple example, I'm sure other companies would have given an update on going into the dip down as a focussed RNS. The quarterly exploration updates are good, but too much information. A few highlights every month followed by an RNS each quarter saying the quarterly exploration update has been published would have more impact. | ![]() donald pond
02/9/2020 07:29 | I believe AUU is up 200% over the past year, which isn't to be sniffed at and is likely to go higher today. | ![]() captain james t kirk
02/9/2020 07:28 | On DDDD, my tweet says it all. Jeez, I am modest!https://twitt | ![]() donald pond
02/9/2020 05:32 | That's unfair. The conundrum with AAZ, taken issue with by some investors on this board, is that its share price has gone nowhere in the last year, in fact it's currently down 15%, whilst many of its peers have seen their SPs increase by multiples over the same time frame. Undoubtedly, AAZ has been a very successful, and excellently run mining company, which also pays a rather attractive dividend, but that success, for the most part, has already taken place, hence the share price going only sideways. Meanwhile, other similar gold explorers/producers might be seen to be at the beginning of their journeys with huge potential upside - another AAZ in the making, if you will. The debate is compounded, of course, by other private investors sitting on very large holdings, at a low average share price, who have, essentialy, 'already made it' and can now afford to just continue to hold and profit handsomely twice a year from the same generous dividends. So, it might be said that there is no right or wrong here, and no real answer to the conundrum. It's simply an issue of the timing of one's investment (as always), but particularly whether to believe there is any further upside, or not, worth waiting for. To those PIs who invested early and held, I applaud you. But, at the same time, I totally understand the frustration of others, perhaps lured into being overweight themselves in AAZ then watching their investment go nowhere but sideways at best for a year, whilst constantly hearing that the company's so undervalued the share price will surely take off soon and, "We'll be at £2.00 by year end..". Meanwhile, AAU is up 400%. | ![]() linz22
02/9/2020 00:32 | If you want something perfectly correlated to the price of gold then buy gold. Sadly too many around here are overly concerned with whether market makers are up, down, having a cup of tea or whatever and think the Board should be concerned with their trading strategies rather than the minor matter of running the company during a pandemic. | ![]() nk104
01/9/2020 23:28 | I think people here think they've missed the boat on 4D DDDD because it's up a mere 1 or 2 bags from its recent lows I bought in Dec 2019 at 100p and thought I had a bargain In October 2019 people paid 130p after 4D announced a potential $1bn+ licence VACCINE deal with Merck Now imagine if they announced they were involved with a Merck COVID vaccine ? How high do you think this share price would go ? Current Mkt Cap is £150m There are numerous US vaccine hopefuls who don't have partners like Merck who are valued at $x Billions ! But 4D have numerous 'shots on goal' in Cancer Asthma IBS Neurodegenerative diseases Covid therapeutics Vaccines (maybe including Covid vaccine but this fantasy at moment) | ![]() the stigologist
01/9/2020 22:39 | My average in 4D is 50p. Such a lot going on short, medium and long term. Have not been able to take on all the information i have had access to. Need to re-read several times i guess to take even half of it on board. Can see why Woodford were so heavily invested in 4D. | ![]() swallowsflysouth
01/9/2020 21:17 | I did :0) Agree re publicity, mf. Seems like a good time to start doing webinars for US Brokerages and IB’s. Great oncology results in the bag already. If blautix comes good then I think the platform becomes of huge value to big pharma. | ![]() mr roper

01/9/2020 20:42 | If DDDD nail the Blautix trial (and why start doing PR suddenly after years of keeping a low profile unless they knew it was good) then the share price hasn't even started to get going. It's a multi billion pound company in the making. | ![]() mad foetus

01/9/2020 20:00 | fair enough JW, to me, it's a GAP,,, but, hopefully a break-away GAP on increased volume, so should be seen as positive :-),,,, I'm just a paranoid cynical type when it comes to GAP's & the first one,, I've drawn, also,,,, was also a break-away GAP on increased volume which filled in time..... anyhow :-) LOL,,, please do ignore me :-) as I can show many others that were most certainly left for dust as the share price never came back,,,, some of them have cost me wonga,,,,, for not ignoring them :-) LOL grrrrrr GAP's, damn GAP's Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
01/9/2020 19:55 | btw, hoping EVG will also prove to be a multi-bagger in the same vein,,, we shall see,,,, fingers crossed, GLA Holders, cheers Wan :-) | wanobi |
