31/8/2020 08:17 | bit late sorry odsjp. Can I have TXP this week. Hoping for a move up on excitement about the current Chinook drill | ![]() c0lin1
31/8/2020 07:57 | That is pretty low then Terropol, thanks. I am no expert but I can't imagine they will lower it again even though the current price of gold is so much higher than when they set it. | ![]() jeanesy
31/8/2020 07:54 | Hi can i also please have SAGA this week in the competition. Thank you | ![]() jeanesy
30/8/2020 22:00 | Starting positions for next week so far. Winners on the right hand column in yellow and left hand column in green are the entries for next week based on requests. Entries not coloured are the same as last week. Any changes can be made tomorrow due to the bank holiday for UK stocks. Week 5 - Start | ![]() odsjp

30/8/2020 18:19 | Ohio pension fund follows Buffet to buy gold ETF's, if one pension fund is doing this then a great many more could follow. But how secure is an ETF unless they actually own physical gold or profitable gold miners? I can't believe AAZ is still so cheap! | ![]() lefrene
30/8/2020 18:04 | Need a big % gainer to catch up to ilostthelot, Bazboa, excellence and Colin1 this week. I am fairly confident PXC will be double it's current price in a couple of months and the rerating will continue this week but perhaps say 15% up and a bigger rise the following week with further confirmatory RNSs being expected (drilling assays are imminent). As I said above I am looking for a big % mover say above 30/40% and I go for CGNR, which fell this week on profit taking and I expect this will jump on the formal J/V announcement (which cannot be far away) with AAZ together with drilling details etc. | ![]() goldrush
30/8/2020 17:58 | odsjp, its kept me in the running so far, so please put me down for AAU yet again. The last jv rns said expect contracts by end of Aug. Since its gone all the way to the end of Aug I'm expecting a short extension, but you never know. | ![]() actonovator

30/8/2020 11:37 | Lots of shares that I feel could rise next week: AAZ - in anticipation of JORC and interims JSE - interim results and maiden dividend announcement on 10th TXP - anticipation rising as mid-way through drilling 3rd exploration well ORPH - on the back of v positive presentation the other day and expected contract news flow ALTN - feel it has been oversold and bouncing around support - could get people buying back around this price and pushing it higher with gold price rise. Also interims due BUT, I think I will stick with AVCT - we have seen it push 200 on expectation of news about the lateral flow test (LFT), then fall back to around 160s, which looks like short-term support - news is expected in Sept imo so running out of time for people to take positions before LFT gets approved. | ![]() king suarez
30/8/2020 09:43 | Good morning one and all! Greetings from Tuscany. I'm actually in a region of previously exploited mineralisations, and am visiting a former mine today. I'll report back if I find any gold or silver. I'm for PXC again. I am sure that this company will outshine most others over a longer period, and maybe be with the leaders by year end. In the short term we are waiting for the completion of the drilling results from Empire and Red Star, plus channel samples at the Navarre Creek gold play. These should be coming through in weeks. After that we move into the experts of Hard Rock Consulting coming up with their Resource estimates, which will then be put into economic models and PEA's. The BoD say this company is fully funded till production finance is raised, so we are looking good all round. I think the share did not move much last week as the average Joe misunderstood the expectations from a technical assay. The company promised assays as soon as available, which they delivered, but some punters were expecting economic valuations. Hopefully this is now understood, so we'll start that climb up shortly to move the share price closer to that justified by the results. Good luck all and have a great week! And nice work ODSJP for the "competition". A good little piece of fun. | ![]() pantsonfire
30/8/2020 09:18 | My pick for the last time will be Rainbow Rare Earths (RBW) again as they are due a trading update and a JORC statement. The JORC is long overdue and the trading statement last year was at the end of August. I am getting fed up in waiting but will give them one final week. I will also now mention my pick for the week after which will be UFO (Alien metals). They have appointed an investment bank to assist in project financing and a joint venture for their Mexico Copper/Gold interests. In addition they are also looking to acquire a silver project in Australia and this should be finalised in the next few weeks. Mining ceased there in 2000 when silver dropped to $4/oz but it is one of the highest grade silver mines with an average of 70oz/t. The deposit was also unique for silver nuggets with the largest being 180Kg (shame it wasn't gold). All this for a current cap of £10m. Good luck for next week. I will update the spreadsheet with the new choices and post later tonight. | ![]() odsjp
30/8/2020 09:05 | Week 4 - Final results. No changes in the top 3 for this week or overall but C0lin1 has moved up a few spots with the final price for SRB and Brasso3 a few spaces down with the final price for ALTN. Interesting that 10th position was just finishing flat over the week so all in all not a great week. Week 4 - Final results | ![]() odsjp
30/8/2020 08:52 | In the same vein (sic) the 8/14/20 podcast from Eric Sprott makes an interesting point at just after 17 minutes: | ![]() captain james t kirk
30/8/2020 07:53 | Hope he notices IPT.v then too. Incidentally, the secondary market has gone somewhat mental of late, the premiums are sky high, whilst proof stuff going for incredible sums. Traders finding it hard to accept prices getting back to 2011 rates and shops managing to attract similar bites for popular stuff. | ![]() riggerbeautz

30/8/2020 06:38 | So pinning majority chips on DSV as many think Silver will be the best performing metal ( better than gold too) over next few years and with Silver price set to rise much further, DSV will have 1 billion ounces in play. And it's Sprott's biggest stake at 25% | ![]() onedayrodders
29/8/2020 23:28 | Ladies and gents can I ask that you give some reasoning for your bets? I may want to follow them if they are well reasoned. I do try to give a reason for mine. If its just a punt fine say so no problem but I like new ideas. | ![]() pogue

29/8/2020 20:22 | Please excuse me if i am talking rubbish but will the rising gold price mean that lower grade ore will now become economically viable. What is the current cutoff grade in mineable gold for AAZ ? As a result will our resource increase even without finding any new gold ? | ![]() jeanesy
29/8/2020 17:56 | Regarding the state of the Dollar and the US economy, I found an update by Ron Paul very interesting. Like Peter Schiff and others he is an advocate of free markets and agrees with the "Austrian School" approach to economics: BV | iambv |
