LOL,MJ, I used to read FXD's postings regularly. He was a brilliant chartist.
He used to show himself as a Caterpillar if I remember correctly.
You are right,he was being driven mad by the rubbish brigade. Shame really.
He was a very polite chap too.

Returning after a previous profitable recommendation of shares in Anglo Asian Mining (AAZ), in July with the shares at 140p we noted current mines potential but also a geological exploration programme continuing with success. Now an “H1 2020 Geological Exploration Activities” update…


In the Gedabek Contract Area, the company emphasises “13 surface core drill holes and 25 reverse circulation drill holes with a total length of 1,473 metres completed at the Avshancli mineral district… Initial drill programme started at Gilar… Both Avshancli and Gilar will be explored by ground-based induced polarisation and magnetic geophysics in the second half of the year”, “substantial drilling completed at the Gadir and Gedabek underground mines… give increased geological confidence” and “new mineralised area identified between the Gedabek open pit and the Ugur open pit – Zafer”.


Also in Azerbaijan, there is the Gosha Contract Area “2,980 metres of core drilling completed confirming the extension of mineralisation with significant gold grades of up to 15 grammes per tonne… A new geological map of the Gosha contract area was completed… 15 porphyry and 13 gold/lead/zinc mineralisation targets identified” and the Ordubad Contract Area, where COVID-19 related restrictions hindered but a trenching programme continued and the company is now prioritising locations for resource drilling which is planned in the current half year.


The company’s Director of Geology & Mining, Stephen Westhead noted “look forward to expediting the work in the second half of the year to deliver further positive progress” and this is with also a recent provisional agreement for a “first enterprise outside of Azerbaijan” and current Azerbaijan production for which full-year guidance is for 75,000-80,000 gold equivalent ounces.


As noted on re-recommendation, even a $750 margin on 75,000 ounces is more than $56 million. Although there are some current production challenges, there has also been gold price upside since then and we continue to look for a 200p+ share price (a £230 million+, approx. $300 million, market cap). At around 160p and at up to 165p, the shares are still a buy.

60p then 80p will be interesting resistance levels to test, 60p weakish, 80p stronger,,,, break those and we'd be looking to buy more right ?

using ND boxes, we've had 40-45. 45-50, 50-55 & now in 55-60,,, so he'd be saying, ok, all looking good, 55p is now the base, above that I'm happy to hold,,, doesn't matter if it's a day, week, month, above 55p I hold,,, move below I'm out, move to next box 60-65p I'm happy to hold,,, bring up my trailing stop loss to 60p and repeat the strategy :-)

mind you I'm only halfway through the book,,,, but from what I've learned so far, once the box size is sorted and it stays in there, any up/down movements are to be applauded as that indicates the stock is busy and has the potential to move up or down rather than drift along for years doing nothing right???

GFM - please correct me if I am wrong Mj, but based upon the system operated by Nicolas Darvas (ND), GFM fits the bill,,, ignoring management, financials, all FA and just focusing on the TA for the moment as ND did,,,, firstly chart 1,

over the past 2 years its share price has been steadily declining until recently where it has turned, broken out of the the downtrend and is now in a new steadily rising uptrend,,,,, Why, Why, Why,,,,, doesn't matter to ND, buy it and watch those boxes,,, of for us, watch the chart and provided it keeps rising we keep holding,,,, simples :-)

what are we holding for??

we don't know, but someone, some people out there might do as its rising,,, so we just hold and whilst it keeps rising we never sell, in fact we add as it gets stronger....

think that sums it up Mj !!!???

Yes, I too was once invested in GFM about the same time as M/F or earlier.. Don't think much of the management there though,holding AGM's in very far off places etc, ife style BoD IMO.

That zone 2 has been awaited a long time too.
Everyone to their own though.

Byron Wien - Blackstone Vice Chairman, Private Wealth Solutions interview - wall street veteran - next 6 months, fiscal/money stimulus is just survival money,,, would have been a melt down without it,,, so FED played key roll keeping the economy going,,, but their work is not over, we need more money expansion, fiscal aid for 20m recently unemployed,,, we're in tough shape, long way to go,, lots of bankruptcies to come,,, manufacturing indices are coming back indicating expansion globally but we're a long way behind,,,,,, I'm concerned about the $, I think that one of the ramifications of heavy fiscal spending large budget deficits which could amount to 20% of GDP, expansion of FED balance sheet from $4T to $7T on its way to $9T coupled with the better performance of asia and europe with respect to CV19 and the recovery has made people doubt the US exceptionalism and as a result the $ has weekend and one of the ways to protect yourself against that is to own GOLD which has been a good asset to have in your portfolio, I have some in mine and I think it makes sense for individual investors to have a position in GOLD!!!!!!!!

Did I read previously that less than 1% of global investment is currently in gold!!!??? just imagine if people like this get every person on the planet buying gold!!!!
