01/3/2017 11:53 | Trump going to war with Iran should help............ | ladeside
01/3/2017 11:26 | POO has been trying to break through $57 since early December - and looks to me as though it should succeed soon. If this happens, sentiment may improve. | fadilz
01/3/2017 11:25 | Main obstacles to share price - Profit per barrel. POO the major factor, and prime cause of fall. OBA will help. - Resources/Reserves: major factor. Affects duration of future income, hence NPV. - Production rate: major factor, but optimal rate determined by Reserves and POO - Social unrest evidently restricts ability to drill, and hence Resources. But these difficulties have been in play since before FARC settlement (eg PUT-12 delays) IMO management are competent, though their communications could improve. This has some bearing on share price in that risks from some of the above are harder to assess. That's my worldview. Apologies for repeat. I remain in. | fadilz
01/3/2017 10:34 | It would seem whoever it is attacking the share price is not going to let up until management accept they have to be realistic, whether that be operationally or otherwise. There is no way this company with its prospects is only worth half what it was 2 years ago. | aceuk
01/3/2017 10:15 | Tony, re their jobs - make that short term. A petulant chairman is no good for this company. Next he will be holding AGM's on Boxing Day - he wouldn't be the first plc chairman to have pulled that stunt. | sharesure4
01/3/2017 09:47 | Death by a thousand cuts here! | tsmith2
28/2/2017 20:37 | Lucy Long term I don't think they care about the share price for the short/medium term - unless seeking to attract a suitor's attention. Then they will no doubt pump it up (both production and SP). The long term is IF they keep their jobs. A couple of months ago it was confirmed to me that more than one major 'institution' holder were of a mind for change. I wonder how they, and their counterparts in other Funds, feel now after a further 15% drop and scant new news of OBA throughput(although I understand it is obtainable, but not from the Company!!!!). | tonyrelaxes
28/2/2017 20:26 | Bargain time again. Same as this time last year... | francis55
28/2/2017 18:28 | Are the board considering another raft of options? I think the market realise that the directors milk this company any chance they get. The only compensation with the low share price - apart from an obvious buy op. Is that they must be regretting past actions. | lucyp00p
28/2/2017 16:29 | the ps is a jucking foke it's risin but in an upside down pattern nuffin falls like a stone like this without a proper reason jus a shame Giles and wardle dont fess up to wot really goin on ELN kickin off nows who gonna fund the new pump station then? | fsawatcher
28/2/2017 15:39 | I'd too added more. Hope this is bottom. | filterwest
28/2/2017 15:11 | Added more, no reason for the falls. | acv74
28/2/2017 13:55 | ^ Not because price is low because it looks weak and likely to fall lower :( | rollthedice
28/2/2017 13:52 | 52 week low, yet pumping more at better oil price.... seems people are talking themselves out of buying because price is low? | currypasty
28/2/2017 13:50 | Not far off 52wk lows but I can't convince myself to buy more... if I don't I'll kick myself when it rises but there's no sign of upward pressure so why bother taking an increased exposure to this share? All my other small/medium cap oilers (HUR, IAE, SDX & SQZ) have done well over recent months. AMER.. a perpetual disappointment of late. | rollthedice
28/2/2017 13:41 | next support level ? bought some more yesterday just to see that I could get them cheaper today :-( | janek01
28/2/2017 13:38 | Down again? If I had any money I'd by some now. But I don't. And I said that at 24p. | bigwavedave
28/2/2017 11:01 | Well we showed Claudio the door and it most definitely helped our performance | lucyp00p
28/2/2017 10:06 | $60 would help but AMER'S problems are a lack of throughput and production, which was given to improve by the end of this first quarter. Hopefully there's going to be some good news soon, otherwise GC and co need to be shown the door. | dayway123
28/2/2017 08:41 | Saudi Arabia wants oil prices to rise to around $60 in 2017 | eddie_yates
27/2/2017 14:47 | oil price looking stable over 55, must be feeding through to bottom line at amer | currypasty
27/2/2017 14:33 | May 5th, I'd that is AGM date, imo. New Ecuadorian president, with business inclined mind needs to be ratified. When is the 'run-off'? Another important date in our calendar. Edit Guilliermo Lasso is favoured, ex-Banker allegedly. Bad news is new election on 2nd April. | valentine |
