I was having a read of the AFD thread tonight. Fell off my chair laughing at the posts on there. Brilliant stuff.

If anyone for one moment thinks that Anom has a chance of winning any court cases I strongly recommend you read the thread. Even the most imcompetant defence will see the value there.

From the EPA Thread...

My Way - 11 May'04 - 13:36 - 215 of 294

Investment in China in stoke on trent would be better than there dog in China

Perhaps an appropriate analogy with the above would be this.......

LDC thread

Winterfun - 30 May'08 - 02:29 - 8704 of 8916

the company is run by someone in Cornwall (their new global HQ!) who seems to have no experience in China, private equity, fund managment, banking, or anything else relevant to what LDC is supposed to be doing. They've announced the closure of their offices in China, so presumably the staff that had any idea of how to run the business have disappeared, so who is going to manage their assets and generate any income? No surprise people heading for the exit. What institutional investor is going to back this?

Oh and here is one EPA investor (user75160) who was saved.....

.....and invested in EPE....

>User75160
I like EPE at the moment and have held them for a couple of months. They are in the same field as EPA, but are about to start their revenue stream. Everything looks very promising indeed.

The directors are extremely savvy about China and have the contacts at both end to set up a constant flow of people to their schools. On top of that, they have links with other Chinese focused companies like LDC. So these guys are not going to pick losers, only winners.

I've put a small stake in them, maybe you could too? (depending on the size of your 'bundle'). Good Luck.

>User75160
I don't know if you managed to get some EPE today, but they rose a healthy 6%.
Not only that, but I heard something very interesting. They found that the school they purchased had £200k more in their bank account than they had originally listed in the accounts.

Talk about a good deal....£200,000 for nothing!

Anomalous
I've joined your party - dipped in with 50k at 0.0138, appreciated the comments, if I can return the favour then HNR or ROS (both oil stocks) are worth considering, both have huge potential to multiply in the next year.
Will keep my eye on other China related investment opportunities as IMHO this is the market that will explode in the next couple of years.
It is obvious that you have great knowledge in this field and I am happy to tag along if that is acceptable.

Hi Mack

Not sure how much of this you have been following.

This has been a very interesting investigation and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I have been working on postings made on numerous threads over several years. What people have got to realise is that there are rules to what can and cannot be posted on a financial bulletin board and I don't mean ADVFN ones.

What I have seen has been a real an eye opener and to be quite honest I am appalled at the behaviour of some of these people. I think what has happened with London Asia, COMG and a few other companies run by these clowns has got to be one of the worst examples I have seen of directors treating shareholders with contempt and like fools. These people, no matter who they are, or what they present themselves as are subject to the law and market regulations just like everyone else.

Anyway, I am taking forward evidence based on posts from many threads
including EVS, LDC/NVC, COMG/EPE/STT, RSV, LGB, GON, EPA, EPD, AFD, CDG, NML and a few others.

For the benefit of all readers, there is also another investigation which is focused purely on COMG and the other sister companies and directors which is progressing at a slower pace by just one or two other people. This has been ongoing for some time now and before I took an interest. Very complex - perhaps in many ways like Langbar and extremely time consuming. Anyway - just tying up one or two loose ends myself and then I will try and lend a hand with the other investigation. Hopefully in due course more shareholders will come forward and offer any information they have.

I think at the moment shareholders/readers are probably intrigued that a COMG thread has come to life after all this time. This thread is probably very hard to follow at times with all the various posters, people and other threads mentioned. And most of all people probably wonder how I ended up here when I never held a share in COMG or posted here in the past. They are probably wondering where this is all leading. Well, to cut a long story short I was looking into one or two other matters and my enquiries led to people also connected to LDC and COMG. Now I am here I can guarantee that I will do everything within my power to take this all the way. Naturally that will include trying to get at least some satisfaction and justice for the people affected by the activities of those under investigation.

COMG shareholders helped me initially with my enquiries and understanding events here. I will try and return the compliment - no matter how long it takes.

London Asia Capital PLC
21 March 2005

London Asia Capital plc ("London Asia" or the "Company")

Investment in Singapore Listed Power Company

London Asia, the Greater China focused investment and merchant banking group,
has taken a 10% holding in Singapore stock market listed Asia Power Corp. Ltd
("Asia Power") at a cost of #1.7 million.

Asia Power is listed on the main Board of the Singapore Stock Exchange, with a
market capitalisation of #16.3 million. It invests in power plants, provides
related services and technology, and management consulting to the energy sector
in China. It currently owns stakes in six power stations in China, and in
January 2005 announced a joint venture to develop wind power stations in China.

The investment was made via the acquisition of 100% of Acme Rate Asset Ltd ("ARA
Ltd"), a British Virgin Islands incorporated company, in exchange for 7.57
million new London Asia ordinary shares. ARA Ltd owns 35 million Asia Power
ordinary shares, equal to 10% of Asia Powers ordinary issued share capital.
Application has been made to admit the new ordinary shares to trading on AIM and
admission is expected on 24th March 2005.

For the year ended 31st December 2004, Asia Power achieved post tax profits of
S$5.45 million (#1.75 million), and had net assets of S$58.14 million (#18.6
million), equivalent to 16.6 cents per share.

Victor Ng, director of London Asia's Greater China operations, is an Independent
Director of Asia Power. He said: "Clean power generation is becoming
increasingly important in China, as well as the rest of the world, with the
rising costs of oil and the realisation of the effects on the environment of
fossil fuel use. Asia Power's recent move into the wind energy sector in China
is one of several projects they are looking at in the renewable energy field."

Simon Littlewood, London Asia Chief Executive, said: "Last week we announced
London Asia has been appointed as preferred corporate finance advisor to over
US$1 billion of energy and environment related projects in China. Our investment
in Asia Power provides us with a potential exit route and source of funding for
some of those deals, a management team with many years experience in the energy
sector in China, access to technology and consulting services, as well as a
dividend income stream."

And as egoi correctly points out on LDC, in light of past events, one should still be very sceptical about some of the posts made over there.

I see there is some talk of the accounts on LDC being published in due course. I am more optimistic than some about the prospects of the accounts being published although less certain what happens from there. But I reckon the pressure ought to be kept up on the new directors and not forgetting that according to Companies House some of the old crowd are still on the board so caution is the watchword.

I would guess that Keith Negal would to some extent need the co-operation of Littlewood in locating and realising the value of the assets. Not sure what use Allnutt would be in this respect. He certainly seems to have been pretty useless in the past and I would be looking to KN and Co to cast adrift all the dead wood pretty quickly. After all, if he is not a liability now he could very well be in the not too distant future.

From the 31 July 2009 Hearing.

Presiding judge: LJ Hooper

Smith V ADVFN Plc and others.

18. Mr Smith asks me to order that he may serve the papers for the appeal in PDF format rather in hard copies and that he should be permitted to redact in the appeal papers the names of persons who have supported him. I refuse both applications. As to the second of these two applications, to the extent to which the appellant wishes and is entitled for the purposes of the appeal hearing to rely on what those persons have said, he cannot redact their names.

I wonder why Anomalous (Smith) asked the judge to redact the names of the persons who supported him. As CJ suggested previously there must have been many letters in support.(in response to requests - according to CJ)

California Joe - 1 May'09 - 22:54 - 709 of 812

I know many responded to requests for various letters to the court but not I!

Someone close to the case recently told me that there were only five letters. Well, I suppose if CJ refused to send a letter and was exaggerating about the amount of support I guess Anomalous could always fall back on his closest circle of friends - including Cougar6.

Someone also commented that at least two of the letters were very similar and included sentences which were identical. That I find hard to believe as I am sure those writing would have been more than capable of finding their own words to praise the person who helped them.

Evening readers

Hope you all are taking advantage of the rise in the stockamrkets lately. Some of the rises have been amazing. Must admit I prefer to trade and hold short term and unfortunately in this market I have sold out too early and lost numerous opportunities. I honestly did not think this rally would last so long but there seems a mood of continued positiveness in the air.

Still, in the long run I reckon it's best to be cautious. Anyway, yesterday and the day before I devoted time to researching shares and invested relatively small amounts in six recovery stocks. Let's see how they get on.

You will be pleased to know that there were no Chinese stocks in my portfolio. The majority are garbage - just like LDC and all the others. Mind you - I had a stab at WCC (West China Cement)the other day - a decent company which made a nice return.

Evening all.

Sorry I've been quiet lately. A few more leads over the last two weeks which I have followed up and incorporated where appropriate into my submissions. Some useful information has turned up which should add further weight to what I compiled previously. In fact, I reckon if I go on looking I will find much more but there should be more than enough already.

To speed up the task, copies of over a dozen threads threads have been downloaded which has helped me with the searches for the relevant posters and posts. As I say, a wide ranging investigation which goes beyond COMG and the information is about to be submitted to the relevant authorities.

Obviously there are no guarantees of complete success but this has been well researched and I believe, not like any complaint submitted before so let's see what happens.

Any further leads or information is always helpful but please get this to me by close of play this Friday if you can. If not, anything received after this date is always welcome but if useful will be sent as supplementary evidence.
