This is another exchange which fascinates me. O.K, visualise the landscape - SL has just gone and 'painting' who has '15 years of experience in Asian markets' has stopped posting to pursue other oppotunities. Allnutt is now in the hot seat and all of a sudden up pops 'Winterfun' with this....

Winterfun - 30 May'08 - 02:29 - 8704 of 8916

the company is run by someone in Cornwall (their new global HQ!) who seems to have no experience in China, private equity, fund managment, banking, or anything else relevant to what LDC is supposed to be doing. They've announced the closure of their offices in China, so presumably the staff that had any idea of how to run the business have disappeared, so who is going to manage their assets and generate any income? No surprise people heading for the exit. What institutional investor is going to back this?

And in response 'tenniselbow' a new poster with just a couple of months of postings under his belt responds as follows:

tenniselbow - 30 May'08 - 09:12 - 8705 of 8916

Does Painting return ( Winterfun )

Now, 'painting' was always positive on the stock so why would 'tenniselbow' associate a negative post such as the above with 'painting'? Must admit I sensed a distinct air of tension when reading that exchange and that which followed.

Anyway - going back to my analysis of posts earlier I see cougar6 also posts with a gap between the end of the sentence and question/exclaimation mark.

Quite common so it seems - at least on the LDC thread.

Anyway - to all readers just a reminder to be careful what you post as people are now taking a great interest in this thread.

O.K - let me explain.

'tenniselbow' in the posts above includes a question or exclaimation mark not immediately after the preceding sentence but he leaves a gap. It is a habit of his which is present in all his posts but one. 'Letsgotowork' seems to have the same problem but tries to disguise his post (because he is replying to tenniselbow) with two question marks after his sentence rather than one but still leaves the gap.

Having read the LDC thread and elsewhere, about five in every six posters do not leave a gap in this way and post question and exclaimation marks immediately after the last word in the sentence without a gap. Obviously there is a danger of over analysing such data hence this is just used to back up any findings based on content and knowledge which are less than 100% safe. Hopefully Interesting nevertheless.

Think I said here before that there are a few other posters on LDC which I have concerns about. 'tenniselbow' is one and his posts made in the days when suspension was looming could possibly be significant going forward. I am pretty sure of his identity after some further research over the last week and that will be added to my submissions.

Anyway - are any of you guys handwriting experts? I hear handwriting is very difficult to disguise. In my view, posts are just the same as no matter how hard people try there are always habits they cannot break.

Not saying this is conclusive by any stretch of the imagination but take a look at these posts by 'tennis elbow' and 'LetsGoToWork' and see if you agree that they are likely to be the same person. Do not worry about the content of the posts but pay attention to the punctuation in particular.

I think the FSA have enough on their plates! but it's interesting that Allnut was removed from the board of China bio foods when it is alleged he refused to sign off their accounts and had reservations
about their operations. I don't think he's 'in bed' with Littlewood and I think the next 3 months will prove this as there appears to be action going on. Lets see what the calibre of the new directors apparently being brought in by allnutt, are like.

LETSGOTOWORK - 20 Oct'08 - 14:50 - 8782 of 8797
nickcduk, I agree, Allnutt has been involved but to want extent was he involved in the overall decision making as a non exec ?? Don't get me wrong, I'm not singing Allnutts praises here. However, we need to remember that Littlewood didn't get the backing he wanted by investors / the city, threw his
toys out of his pram and resigned. As far as I'm concerened the buck stopped at the top, and that was Littlewood. All I'm saying is(without wishing to repeat myself)is that Allnutt has remained on board (no pun intended), has issued a statement saying he wants to get to the botttom of the companies activities under Littlewood, has appointed a new CEO to do just that. In my opinion, Negal needs to be given time to try and sort out this company, discover whats happend and come up with a plan to get us out. Let's watch this space..........

LETSGOTOWORK - 21 Oct'08 - 09:25 - 8785 of 8797
Morning, thanks for the post Irene. I honestly don't know the answers to your questions, however, I got straight through to George Allnutt yesterday and he was happy to answer my questions where he could. I would suggest you give him a call ?? In my opinion, he can't release a statement, and probably doesn't wish to, until he has some solid facts to hand. It should also be down to the CEO to
release such a statement. However, I would rather Negal concentrate on his "exploratory" work. Tennis, I agree with your comments, why was Allnutt removed from the board ?? Was Allnutt not playing ball ?? Would he not fall into line ??
Doesn't sound like a "bosom buddy" of Littlewoods to me ??

Must admit, that was a glowing tribute from Anomalous about Cougar6 which I posted above. They must be very close friends.

If I received such a tribute I would wish to show my gratitude in some way. I remember California Joe stated at one time that he was was good friends with Anomalous and I was quite taken aback by this little exchange a while back concerning the court case Smith (Anonamous) V ADVFN and the character references sent to the court by his supporters.

Loverat - 1 May'09 - 22:51 - 707 of 812 edit

CJ - Your submission was amongst the others which was referred to as 'character references'. I expect there were so many letters in support that Eady could not individually name all those who wrote them.

In view of what Anom said about cougar's qualities and his directorship of the Investors Support Fund some may think, on the face of it, that cougar is another white knight attempting to save shareholders in troubled companies.

But I have presented another side of things over the past few months. As I have said here before some of the people I have mentioned are in the public eye and have responsibilities to their shareholders. Most importantly, some have presented themselves as whiter than white. Therefore it is only right that they come under the scutiny of shareholders affected by their activities and fair and right minded people.

There are many details that I cannot post for obvious reasons but here is a very, very basic summary of events.

Around the beginning of his ADVFN posting career cougar set up the AND thread and bought a substantial holding. When his reverse takeover failed he threw a paddy which lasted years and resulted in a campaign of deramping and seemingly unsupported allegations against the company and directors posted on this site.

In 2002, after ramping Netvest (LDC)on the BB and purchasing a large stake he joined the board of Netvest/LDC. He was also on the board of COMG and occasionally posted postive posts in support of both companies which included arguing with posters/shareholders. Anomalous, under various user names also declared himself a shareholder, making numerous posts stating that he knows the 'brains behind the business'. His view was that the directors in these companies were 'first rate' and 'genius'.

We also know that cougar6 was active in the Room Service scandal - along with Anomalous who co-ordinated the action group.

In 2006 cougar joined the board of the Investors Support Fund along with Anomalous and two others. A noble idea which was set up in a blaze of positive publicity. All four directors post on this site. I have already reported my findings regarding one of the other directors concerning a company called EVS.

In 2007 COMG announced a change of strategy and parts of the business, including the Bournemouth Language School were sold to Allnutt and Holmes for
70K. This amount was thought to be 'reasonable' by Littlewood and the other directors. COMG subsequenty was suspended shortly afterwards and seems to be no word of the accounts. In 2008 LDC was suspended and Allnutt took over temporary charge to sort out the mess. Currently a new management team are trying to trace and realise value on the various assets scattered all over the place.

So, we have several failed AIM companies where questions remain unanswered and question marks over numerous other connected companies to this outfit. We have one director of LDC/COMG posting here anonymously over a period of several years.(and there will be more) And we have a 'charity' set up which never left the ground (and seemingly is on it's last legs)

On the face of it, not very impressive is it?

And what action groups has cougar6 backed? Oh yes - Room Service.....but do you really think his involvement with that was purely to assist other shareholders?

Broker in firing line again on Room Service

By James Moore
Published: 12:01AM GMT 29 Nov 2003

Stockbroker Evolution Beeson Gregory is facing a second potential legal action from a major investor in Room Service Group, it emerged yesterday.

West country entrepreneur George Allnutt claims the short selling activities of Evolution Beeson Gregory prevented him from launching a reverse takeover of the company, currently a debt ridden cash shell.

Mr Allnut said yesterday he had paid for 10m shares in the company equating to around 8.2pc of the share capital but has been unable to take possession of his shares because of the settlement problems surrounding the company's shares.

"I am planning to file a writ. These actions prevented us from tabling our proposals. I have access to three companies which could have been reversed into Room Service," he said.

The company is under new direction and they are only looking at cash generating companies and you can ring the directors for information and they will respond. all those who want to sell will have done so by the end of the week the mm are short of stock or holding as they see profit from this share. the directoirs cannot buy as the accounts are due ?

And this was not long before his involvment in NVC/LDC which I mentioned here previously. The knockback would also possibly explain the negative posts made by cougar6 against the directors of AND/GON.

This may explain Mr. Allnut's (not Zen) interest in NVC. Incidentally, he didn't get Andaman.

09Sep2001 UK: SHAREHOLDER FORWARDS HIS REVERSE PLAN.

A PRIVATE shareholder in cash shell Andaman Resources has been building a stake with the aim of making a reverse takeover of the AIM-listed group. George Allnut has built a seven per cent stake in Andaman and is preparing to lobby other shareholders to allow him to reverse one of his privately owned businesses into the group. Allnut controls a number of companies, the biggest of which, Photo Distribution, is the most likely vehicle for the reverse bid. Falmouth-based Photo Distribution specialises in transporting printed materials. According to Allnut, the group's last full-year figures showed profits of just £100,000 before tax. Allnut, who has built up his stake in Andaman in several stages over the past year, said he had contacted the board of the shell company, headed by chairman Arthur Cruttenden, but had not had a response to his plans. 'My next move will be to canvas shareholders who I hope I can convince of my plans,' Allnut said. Andaman is a dormant business with a share price of just 11/4p and a market value of just over £1 million. Its aim is to seek investment in the media and healthcare sectors.

Some very interesting Netvest threads (NVC) which was LDC prior to name change.
Lots of ramping going on there before and after this appointment.

Littlewood - 4 Jul'02 - 13:00 - 66 of 93

The Company is pleased to announce that George Patrick Allnutt, aged 56, has
been appointed a director of the Company. George Allnutt is a substantial
shareholder in netvest, holding 3,400,000 ordinary shares, 24.3% of the issued
share capital of the Company.

Over the past 30 years George Allnutt has developed several successful UK
electronic and engineering businesses. In addition, he has developed a varied
portfolio of commercial and residential properties. He is currently chairman of
Photo Distribution Limited, a logistics company.

Said Simon Littlewood: 'we are very pleased to have someone of George's
experience on the Board. George has a track record of working with and growing
fledgling companies, and will take over the management of netvest's existing
portfolio and be responsible for making new acquisitions in the UK going
forward. Netvest has identified several opportunities to acquire profitable
technology businesses in China, which will enable our UK investments to tap
into the potential of the Chinese market and outsource to a low cost
environment. We look forward to announcing the first such deal in the near
future.'

Said George: 'I am very excited at the opportunities available to Netvest at
this time. The collapse in the value of technology companies has created
attractive opportunities to build up a portfolio of well managed, profitable
companies that would previously have been able to go to IPO but in today's
difficult climate are unable to.'

And seems someone had cougar6 sussed long before I looked at these threads.. I also note painting and a serial ramper called 'Zen' frequented the boards.
