Now if anyone wants to offer me 1p for my Langbar stock then please let me know, otherwise I'm going to offer them to the mms so that
they can then close their shorts and deliver them to you lot.

Rupert.
Can you guarantee that I will be immediately recorded against the share register?

I think someone mentioned here that Dalian Business Institute delisted from PLUS a few weeks back. I wonder what the reaction to that news will be. Anyone here hold that or received any news or communications?

My word - seems we've been treated to the full compliment of directors of the ISF and COMG today. But I guess they must all be too busy running their businesses or relaxing in the sun to comment here.

And another director of the ISF and LGB shareholder. I remember his catch phrase was 'don't believe everything you read on the boards'

Loverat, I would be surprised as I never supplied a character reference to my knowledge! I know many responded to requests for various letters to the court but not I!

By the way Anom,

I hear you were granted leave to appeal against the stay order for 8 defendants.

Have you done your sums regarding the costs owed to ADVFN for diclosure of the names? I figure, even with 100K that is going to be swallowed up pretty quickly.

Anyway - I have a tip for you - put your 100K in WCC and you might make enough profits to create a decent fund to use for the case.

One other thing - where is the 100K coming from?

And who paid for Aiden Eardly's (your barrister) two appearances in court? Was it David Greene? Oh yes - and who paid for David Greene to sit in court last year?

Yes- certainly was a surprise to hear about the 100K.

Smith V ADVFN PLC 25/7/08

68. Twice in the witness statement (at paragraphs 4 and 32) Mr Smith refers to his work for the shareholders' action group as being pro bono. Some surprise was expressed, therefore, at the hearing on 9 June by those defendants present when Mr Smith, in order to show that he had some prospect of meeting the costs orders made in the ADVFN case, mentioned that he was due to receive something of the order of £100,000 by way of an ex gratia payment for his work in recovering some of the lost monies (apparently equivalent to 5%). In the light of this new information, some of the defendants chose to make further written submissions on the subject. So too did Mr Smith himself in a further statement. He rejected any suggestion that his claims to have carried out the work pro bono were in any way misleading. It seems to me that there is no need to investigate this new controversy any further, for present purposes, and I put it to one side in reaching my conclusions. It may well have to be addressed at some stage, but I am certainly not in a position to decide that he deliberately misled either the court or those for whom he acted.

winterfun - 30 May'08 - 02:29 - 8704 of 8916

the company is run by someone in Cornwall (their new global HQ!) who seems to have no experience in China, private equity, fund managment, banking, or anything else

A little unfair winterfun. Seems the person you were referring to has some experience in banking......

Bank shells out for angry Allnutt

From the archive, first published Friday 9th Feb 2001.

A businessman from Constantine has demanded all the money from one of his accounts in £5 notes after he was refused a bank card.

George Allnutt, who runs Cornwall Couriers from Tregonniggie Industrial Estate in Falmouth, claims that he was denied a bank card by his bank manager at the Camborne branch of Lloyds TSB, meaning that he is unable to use the banks ATM machines.

Mr Allnutt was told by the bank that he did not use his account enough to make a bank card necessary.

Mr Allnutt said: "I don't use the account very much but I just wanted to be able to get at my money after the branch had closed."

Following the snub, Mr Allnutt told the bank that he wanted to withdraw all his money from the account, around £3,000, and close the account.

He said: "I asked for the money in £5 notes on Thursday and said that I would be back the next day but they couldn't do what I requested."

Mr Allnutt says he knew it would be difficult to provide the money in £5 notes.

Mr Allnutt runs several businesses in the county which employee around 60 people and he says his annual turnover is around £2 million. He also runs a non profit making home for people with learning difficulties in Camborne.

Mr Allnutt added: "From now on any employee who is with Lloyds TSB will receive a cheque, as I'm not going to transfer money into their accounts anymore. I would never dream of treating my customers or clients in this way. Business is all about customer service and the customer is always right."

Mr Allnutt says that he has never had a history of being a poor creditor.

A spokeswoman for Lloyds TSB said that customer confidentiality made it impossible to discuss Mr Allnutt's personal details.

But she added: "Any decision that's made by the bank depends on the amount of activity on the account.

"Any customer who is not happy is offered the chance to have a chat and Mr Allnutt was offered that opportunity twice.

"As far as the £5 notes go, we said that we would try as hard as we could to get them and we did. Being a small branch it was impossible for us to meet his request in such a short space of time."

off elsewhere - fantastic market for making money, and this share I expect to be a little slow for a while given all the other opprtunties out there.

re info on LDC - if you read what the company puts out, 90% of the questions on the bb could be answered. For other info, just email the co - they normally respond pretty quickly when I ask them something.

winterfun - 30 May'08 - 02:29 - 8704 of 8916

the company is run by someone in Cornwall (their new global HQ!) who seems to have no experience in China, private equity, fund managment, banking, or anything else relevant to what LDC is supposed to be doing. They've announced the closure of their offices in China, so presumably the staff that had any idea of how to run the business have disappeared, so who is going to manage their assets and generate any income? No surprise people heading for the exit. What institutional investor is going to back this?

tenniselbow - 30 May'08 - 09:12 - 8705 of 8916

Does Painting return ( Winterfun )?

And for me the above posts are interesting. 'painting' left the LDC BB around the time of the board changes. Did he come back to take a swipe at the new board?

And considering 'painting's' posts were always positive before, why would 'tenniselbow' think that 'Winterfun' was him?

Well - 9 months of investigations (on and off) and now ready to submit one part of it to the various authorities etc. I was tempted to submit the details before but after further thought and research am now glad that I did not as more evidence has come to light over the last few weeks.

I believe that my part of the investigation has gone a little under the surface as to what went on (particularly on these boards) but there is much more which will come to light later. The evidence is still significant at this stage however. It seems likely that based on the evidence so far there are two individuals who may become answerable to their actions by posts which have been made here. As I say the investigation into the running of these companies continues until there is enough evidence for a referral.

Like many others here I also suspect that 'painting' is one of the present/former directors of LDC/COMG and most responsible for what happened here and elsewhere but do not have enough proof of his identity at present. However our referral may prompt an investigation into this also. I am sending the details through early next week so if there is any more evidence regarding 'painting' I would appreciate an e-mail @ loverat66@yahoo.co.uk

All,

Better to forget stupid rigged poles, and concentrate on any possible legal ways of trying to reclaim your cash from the MM's, if there are any .
I still say stay united in the Action group, there is strength in unity .
Anom is doing a great job IMO.

Would you suggest that COMG/LDC shareholders attack on all fronts?

i.e SFO, LSE, FSA . We can take care of that. But can you mobilise the press for us?
