Do you think there might be a chance of a competing bid hpcg? About other shareholders here?

Personally myself i think there could be 140-50p seems a more reasonable take-out price imv.

Well in my opinion a plus 50% increase on current market price I can’t see us getting any more which is why I sold out today.

If I’m honest I expected much bigger things for this stock and I was always disappointed when it kept getting pushed back as it neared the £1 mark in the past.

If you continue to hold it would be nice to see you rewarded with something higher so good luck.

Sorry cfro, I have no direct or indirect knowledge. Indeed I am pleasantly surprised how tight this news was. I'd guess others would have been running the rule over it and now the game has started. Plenty of competition in the space, and then there is PE.

Personally myself, i am holding on as i think 140-50p seems a more reasonable take-out price imv in the event of a competing offer.

RCT - read the RNS again. Only the 1.8% director shares are biding.

In addition to the irrevocable undertakings from the Air Partner Directors, BidCo has received an irrevocable undertaking from Amati Global Investors Limited as the appointed investment manager of TB Amati UK Smaller Companies Fund in respect of 6,344,309 Air Partner Shares representing approximately 9.98 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of Air Partner as at the Last Practicable Date. Such irrevocable undertaking shall lapse in certain circumstances in the event that, inter alia, another offer is made for Air Partner equal to or greater than 140 pence per Air Partner Share.

Lord Lee and Schroders have simply agreed to the deal, nothing more.

Good to see the offer but at 125p it still materially undervalues the business as many here agree too i see.

Hope we get a competing offer so i am holding tight with my shares. Really not surprised its an American company that wants them as they can see the huge upside in the private charter sector.

They have agreement with 30% of shareholders anyway so I can't see this being stopped. I have sold at 123p.

I'm very happy, have only held since the summer, and with a load of spreadbets as well. What is more gratifying is the requirement for patience in the face of good news. So many London based micro and mini cap investors are driven by momentum and nothing else; they simply have no confidence on their own analysis.

Price action is now suggesting some thoughts of a competing bid perhaps?

It seems that between us all on this thread that we own a few % of the company, but not enough to vote down the takeover.

I’m actually gutted. I was expecting the share price to be £1.25 after the full year results came out anyway and the market finally wakes up! Now the market won’t have time to wake up to all the potential in this company. At least my mortgage can now be paid off!

Price paid £78m
Less: B/S cash £10m
EV: £68m

Assuming that the major acquisitions of recent years have been valued at AP's initial consideration (i.e. Kenyon £7m, Redline £10m, BS £6m, Cabot £1m) gives them a value of £24m.

Which would give Wheels Up the core AP business for just £44m.

Ended up with just short of 230000 shares. Not greedy but totally agree they're still very reasonable. Probably bought at 13 / 14 x earnings and 12 million in the bank.

great shame..

Always been undervalued and underappreciated in the UK

The americans get the value and the shareholders get a few pieces of silver.

big profit growth lately yet traded on pe 7 with yield of 4.

Should not have been like this. Uk investors have only themselves to blame for ignoring a great business.

I would imagine the share price weakness in the last couple of days is a function of the US market sell off and fears about Russia invading Ukraine. Buyers control the price and they want more for their money when risks are heightened.

cfro. I agree with your comments and note that in the Sunday Telegraph Business and Money (23rd Jan) section they quote "Omicron has failed to stunt the use of private jets this month as the pandemic encourages senior executives to make use of them. There has so far been a 19% spike in corporate jet use in the US and a 13% jump in Europe compared to the January before the pandemic, according to data provided by WingX"

I wonder if Shroders will sell into todays rally like they did with the last RNS trading update on 17th Dec. It just keeps a cap on the SP, but that’s fine as it means patient retail investors can continue to build up stakes at a very reasonable price.

maybe growth has cost working capital? So "should" unwind?

But net cash only up £200k on the last trading update, so, presumably December was a cracker but the cash has yet to appear on the BS? Be interesting to see the market response this time.

EV currently £42m. Not much if the post pandemic future is modestly bright.
