Silence from the fanbots as the share price slides.
The annual report well worth careful reading for what is said and what isn't.

Hi all,

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast last week and AIR was one of the Stocks we discussed and I hold it myself and I think it is considerably undervalued, with a lot of positive strategic change in recent years, which I talk about on the Podcast.

All my Trades are 100% fully disclosed on my Website so anyone can see at any time what I am holding. I also Tweet out what I am buying/selling just after I do it and that all goes on the Website; and there is a full list of my Portfolios.

We also discussed a lot about Markets and the outlook for Summer and into the Autumn, and as always we also chatted about loads of other Stocks and Ideas for research and a fair bit of educational stuff with regards to Investing and Portfolio Management (and without doubt some important psychology stuff always creeps in).

Anyway, if you use Youtube, Apple, Audioboom, Overcast, Google+ or Spotify, Podchaser etc. you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want Podcast TPI 49) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below.

I hope you enjoy it and find it useful, we try to keep them light and they are totally unscripted, with the intent being that it is like you are eavesdropping on us having a chat down the local boozer.

Cheers, WD

I nearly bought this last week...but as always with this particular stock I find it very difficult to predict profitability. Somehow I just can't seem to tune in to it.

In any event, things look strong here and that chart says "£1" to me (FWIW...which ain't much!).

GL to all holders.

trident I totally agree but what you suggest would not have helped management be able justify their salaries to shareholders during a weak earnings cycle for the charter and freight businesses. Also what's the expression again about it's much easier to spend other people's money then your own

The Redline acquisition is set to deliver from this financial year onwards. Management are very excited about prospects here and the huge growth opportunities ahead.

Just sat in the results presentation (recorded and will be in the library). Both Mark and Joanne delivered well.

LBO - but that's not a good reason for acquiring other companies.
Shareholders can adjust their exposure to the cyclicality of the business by diversifying their portfolio. The valid reason is to improve the NPV of future cash flows and these don't appear to have been successful acquisitions on that criteria.

trident the very reasoning behind those acquisitions was to try reduce the cyclical nature of the earnings of the Aviation charter and freight businesses. But I agree they probably overpaid for the acquisitions looking at the returns.

The key problem here (for me) is that the company has gone on a costly acquisition splurge in peripheral businesses which are not generating meaningful returns.

heialex - I agree that Air Partner is cheap, but I'm sure there are plenty of people on this board who know the company much better than me.
It's a long-established business with a strong balance sheet, that's consistently profitable and pays a divi. But the EV is a very modest £40m.
This is a good time to add (in my view,) with investors only interested by recovery stocks (often with very weak balance sheets).
2020 was clearly an exceptional year for AIR, but this is a decent business even in a normal year.

I think the legacy of the accounting irregularities that were discovered still haunts Air Partners. A case of maybe forgiven but not yet forgotten.

Without knowing the company very well, these numbers look outstanding and the shares look extremely cheap... anyone who knows them well have an opinion?

You gotta hand it to 'em - those were exceptional results for possibly the worse ever year for the aviation industry.

Not really a big deal - revenue c£1m and it makes an operating profit of about 10% of revenue.

I bought in last week, lots of potential but does seem to fly below the radar. Plan to hold in the medium term based on current consensus
