20/1/2021 13:54 | Yield not so great since they knocked the divi about in half. Cheap and value, but how much of the great trading will still be there after Coronavirus ends? Hard to say. | stockstockham
20/1/2021 13:46 | This looks like very good value. Lots of cash, very profitable, great yield. Have I missed something? Or is it cheap just because it is not a 'recovery play'? | galeforce1
20/1/2021 08:22 | M80 - No, the placing proceeds are debited to cash and credited to Reserves, they do not touch the Profit and Loss account. | trident5
20/1/2021 08:15 | Is profit a result of the 7.5m placing? | marmar80
20/1/2021 08:06 | More costs shoved through below the "underlying" line again then. | trident5
20/1/2021 07:10 | "At the time of the half year results, published on 30 September 2020, the Board reported that it expected modest profits in the second half of the year. However, despite global travel restrictions, the Group has performed better than expected and ahead of market expectations. Accordingly, the Board now expects to announce an underlying profit before tax of no less than £11.5 million for the full year. " | galatea99
12/1/2021 10:36 | I have put my money where my mouth is for a small top up this morning at 68.6. Come on £1 :) | haywards26
11/1/2021 15:18 | A couple of additional +ve Once the vaccine rollout has gained traction and warmer weather arrives there will likely be a stepped relaxing of restrictions and the pent up demand of the wealthy to travel and holiday again. Also the football Euro's if they go ahead in the summer will drive demand for charter flights from teams, journalists and perhaps fans also.. Olympics - likewise to the above. | haywards26
11/1/2021 15:01 | (edit: this post was delayed in upload (and refereneces post 1864) Yes. I though about this yesterday. My notes said this: - +ve brexit and COIVID related blockades, A dash by the wealthy for private hire when lockdowns were eased H2. -ve national lockdowns and travel bans So it's hard to predict which way the net effect pulls earning. Moving into Q! of 2021 calendar year I mostly see the negatives. AIR doesn;t really do shareholder communication that well either I think. I'd welcome any discussion on the above. | thorpematt
11/1/2021 12:50 | That would work for me. Think I'll add on any weakness. CD | cambridgedon
11/1/2021 12:39 | I think we should see £1 within 6 months if AP take advantage of market opportunities. | haywards26
11/1/2021 12:26 | I should add that I sold half at 94 and rebought lower Plus the divi means I'm close to breakeven here. CD | cambridgedon
11/1/2021 12:25 | Haywards26. Thanks for your response. Sir John Lee was still positive on this at higher prices. Hope that is the case. My average is 76 but my holding is below what I normally would aim for so can't decide whether to add or liquidate for a small profit should the opportunity present itself. CD | cambridgedon
11/1/2021 11:08 | As I have mentioned before, my view is the AP freight department is not big/material enough, pax is their biggest revenue generator which will obviously be impacted by continuing travel restrictions and lockdowns. Having said the above, hopefully their freight division has picked up additional revenues for Brexit and vaccine goods movements. Rivals with much stronger freight divisions CF, ACS etc will have had a storming 2020 in comparison to AP. I think under 80p is value here though. | haywards26
11/1/2021 09:11 | Can't understand with T/O news in the sector + Covid/Brexit freight benefits that this is still trading so lowly. Any thoughts? CD | cambridgedon
07/1/2021 19:50 | Grant Thornton (who share a Chairman with AP) are being sued over flawed Pâtisserie Valerie audits that missed irregularities www.ft.com/content/a So why did AP never sue their accountants for missing years worth of irregularities in their books that caused the 2018 plummet in share price from over 140p? Ironic that even that fall was still to 30p more than today even when AP claimed an unprecedented H1. | venek
22/12/2020 22:20 | Here you go. Special mention on the BBC. share price hasn't cottoned onto this yet. Better get in before the herd comes along.https://www.bb | spongey
21/12/2020 12:49 | Terrible spread but fancy getting back into these, U.K. now a covid brexit basket case run by imbeciles trying to impoverish us all, AP must be picking up freight transport contracts🤔 | porsche1945
21/12/2020 10:02 | Expect Air will do well with air freight given the port challenges and border closures. AP specialise is support during crisis, and I think the current situation could be described as a crisis likely to get worse before it gets better and run for a few months. | badger38
18/12/2020 08:39 | 70p sell, 75p buy.., spread not helpful | latifs100
