Re Flint and his complaint .

A bad workman always blames his tool(s)

Sir Douglas made no mention of a certain S Bird and his part in Abdn downfall.

You have to laugh.

Yeah, I'm watching that low point as well Skinny. It may be a decent entry point for a short hold and subsequent sell.

I read that Flint is sending a letter to Hunt, backed up by the likes of A J Bell, complaining about pointless interpretation of rules post Brexit that Flint believes is in part responsible for the exodus of investment away from Trust Funds in the UK.

Link here:

So, abrdn share price fall is all Hunt's fault.

Great minds and all that but near enough spot on to my target

Goes without saying

If dividend is cut all bets are off

Good luck everyone

Just as an aside 06 march 2022 popped up on my tablet
Usual suspects but totally different discourse

Spud was actually quite pleasant as was Chinese Investor

We live and learn

Best of luck to you all

Looking at the RNS to see if any director buys and I note that Catherine Bradley didn't seek re-appointment to the main board recently. She remains Chair of ii though.

Flint stated that she believes she should dedicate her available time commitment to that responsibility.

Anybody read anything into that?

This looks like a Direct Line situation to me. The share price has fallen to a level where I would not be surprised to see a US based insurer come in to say thanks very much, we’ll have a bit of that for £2 a share all paper deal. Then spin off ii to get a big lump of cash back. Someone’s gonna be looking at this.

The YTD shareprice chart is very poor -22%. At this rate (and it shows no sign of abating) the share price will be less than 100p by the HY results.
If Bird cannot get the share price to rise then he needs to go….Maybe they need to break up the Group…and give shareholders:
Some PHNX,Aberdeen and II shares. That would be back to basics.

Goodness - £1.41 you have overpaid - you easily get at £1.40 - your broker has pulled a wool under your eyes . share price closed £1.3980- I like to know which broker you used so I won’t use this broking firm ? 😊

My buy order was filled at 141p, time will tell if that is a good trade or not. Hopefully the dividend is maintained whilst I wait on a recovery or these get taken out. Institutional investors can't be happy with the performance, wouldn't surprise me if the CEO is forced to fly the nest.

wllm :)

Bet it's not ABDN themselves. They only spend our money when the shares are more expensive.

Sorry, cheap shot (but true).

The yield is getting larger and larger , at current share price IF same dividends are maintained - 10.5% and soon will be 11% .
